I purchased an unlocked iPhone abroad and I'm debating when to switch over to AT&T. I'll be out of the country for 4 months and would rather not pay for AT&T iPhone service that I won't use, but I was told that with an iPhone already in hand, I can go month-to-month--is that correct? Moving from one question to another, if I go month to month and use the service until I depart, if I discontinue service for those 4 months would I still retain my number when I return, or is it lost from the moment I discontinue a running line of service with AT&T? I currently am on a Verizon family plan that is quite cheap, so the worst-case scenario would be to just keep my number on this VZW plan for 4 months and pay much less (in comparison to AT&T) in order to keep the number for my return. Hi...I have made a few ringtones,in itunes,I watched a how to vid on youtube...everything works fine until I go to sync it..it wont sync under ringtones...it will save under the itunes music tho..I went into the iphone ringtones but all that is there is the pre-installed...I looked under contact to see if I can assign one there,and nothing...so,can ya tell me how to get them to sync UNDER ringtones and then how to get it assigned??? You will see people talking on the phone very loudly and disturbs people nearby in restaurants and even in offices. I am sure that now, once or twice in a meeting, you will see that when a phone rings, almost everyone around will immediately look for their cell phones. If you were the one who speaks, and then the person in front of you talking on his phone, how would you feel? I am sure you will feel belittled and ignored. Rude practice and should be changed. It may help people who use their cell phones to follow certain degree of etiquette with respect to the use of cell phones specially in places where you May seem rude if you use or even when your mobile rings. When you’re in a place of worship, it may be necessary to leave your phone in the house or at least disable it if you do not want to get away with it. This is because ringing cell phone does not just disturb you while you pray it will also disturb others. You do not need to show your expensive gadget in a place of worship. During the meetings, please turn off your cell phone, it is impolite to have your phone ringing while somebody speaks. Disruption may cause problems especially when the meeting tackles extremely important issues. However, if you are waiting for terribly important call, you may use the vibrate mode on your mobile phone to alert you when a call is coming and leave the meeting if you need to answer the call. Just started happening recently. If I send a message from AOL account on my phone it doesn't show up under sent mail on the server or the phone. Sometimes it is taking quite awhile for the message to arrive at the recipient too. It used to show up as sent before on the server. Haven't changed the settings on anything.
