ATT should consider offering a “Basic data” Package for the iPhone.

$5 for the data package (required) and $ 1 for unlimited access for 24 hours. Turn it on only when desired.

I just found this really neat iPhone application creator where you can create your own apps and upload onto your iPhone.  Relatively inexpensive, they host your media for a year with no charge (included in original fee)

I am a new iPhone user, so I am wondering if anyone has checked it out yet and what the results were.

I’d like to create my own apps for my business.

The site is www.appflights.com

Anyone???

Dear AT&T,

I love my phone, I’ve had every version of the iPhone, ad was a customer of yours for MANY years prior to that.

What I need is Tethering. This was promised to us last summer (Thank you Apple), and it was something I could do WAY before the iPhone came out (on my previous smart/dumb phones). Why are you holding back? My friends in Germany and Spain can tether their iPhone to their computers, why can’t we?

I pay you close to $200 a month for my devices only to have them consistently neutered by your policies. (MMS, Tethering, Video apps) These are things that I can do, and could do on previous phones before the iPhone, yet I can’t do them now with the more advanced device. It was said that you’d have it by the end of the year. It’s 12/31/09, you can’t get any later than that.

I genuinely hope that someone reads this, and I invite you to call me to discuss this matter.

My wife and I are both eligable for upgrades on our phones and I have been checking into getting I-Phones for the both of us.  I understand that there will be a $30 per line charge for the data plan.  My question is will our current familytalk texting unlimited plan still work or is there something totally different for texting on I-Phones?

MI am confused that I baught my IPhne and my apple care plan at the AT&T store, yet Apple handles all warranty issues. Apple is trying to sell me a new phone, even though mine is only 6 months old. The phone works for phone converations, but has  trouble connecting to my computer, has no button clicks (souns), and “this application is not meant to run with the iphone…” warning pops up. Apple tells me it shows signs of corrosion, so they cannot rerplace it. The phone never got wet and they should replace it. I would like AT&T to be on my side on this issue, so that I may go back to my iphone, begin the data package again, and have a phone that is blue toth ready (so I may talk in the car).

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Consumer outrage about AT&T’s 3G service for iPhones is boiling over, but the dropped calls and spotty service reflect a greater lack of foresight in the wireless industry.

Analysts say AT&T’s problems would have happened on any network that carried Apple’s (AAPL, Fortune 500) iPhone because of the overwhelming amount of data downloaded by iPhone users. Over the past three years, AT&T’s data traffic increased 5,000% because of the iPhone.

“The challenges that AT&T has are being faced by a lot of operators around the world: Very rapidly growing usage coupled with dense populations,” said Daniel Hays, wireless
expert and partner at consultancy PRTM. “Would it have been different on Verizon? Probably not.”

AT&T accurately states that it has the nation’s fastest 3G network but it “probably bit off more than it could chew,” said Doug Helmreich, program director at consultancy CFI Group. “Now some of their customers are paying the price.”

IPhone users in New York and San Francisco in particular have been up in arms about frequent service interruptions. Earlier this month, AT&T’s head of mobility, Ralph de la Vega, admitted at an investors’ conference that the company’s service in those two cities was “below our standards.”

when i send a picture message through MMS the sending bar goes about 4/5 of the way then it displays a red “!” next to the picture and says sending failure. i have good service where i am and i’ve been able to send pictures until now. how can i fix this?

Here’s the breakdown:

Belkin N Wireless Router F5D8236-4 v3

Wireless Settings on N/G/B, channel 6 (tried every channel, and tried only G enabled), extended channel 2

Security on WPA/WPA2-Personal (PSK) (TKIP + AES)  (I’ve also tried WPA, WPA2, WEP128, WEP64)

SSID viewable

iPhone 3GS

On my iPhone I can see the network id, but when I enter the security password it says invalid password.  Same thing happens to my wife’s iPhone, however not to our friends 3GS, he can connect to the network fine (he got his phone a few months before we did if that matters).  If I disable security on the wireless router all three iPhones connect fine.  But with security enabled (and I’ve tried each security option), the two iPhone’s can’t connect.

We have another wireless access point in another part of the house that is a Netgear WGR614 v6 (G/B) with security enabled and we can connect to that wifi no problem.  With the Belkin router I have tried rebooting, resetting the hardware settings, every wireless channel, every wireless security method, and different security passwords with no luck.

beklin iphone wifi wpa wpa2, cant connect iphone to belkin wireless router, how to connect cell phone wireless n network, can\t connect iphone 4 to n belkin, cant connect palm on N wireless network

I recently activated my iPhone, and everythingh works except text messaging. I’ve been trying nothing but standard SMS to others, and nobody receives my messages, and I can’t receive any either. What’s wrong? Why isn’t my texting working?
