I was canning apple pie filling and some of it didn’t properly seal. Now I know I need some for baking this Friday/Sat. But will it last in the fridge til next tuesday? Thanksgiving? Christmas? Should I just fire up the canner and just redo it?
How many hours a few hours ago after searching for my 4 iPhone, , I thought I had lost it. Since I need to call, I activated my iPhone 2G to iTunes. But it remained on waiting for activation screen. Soon afterwards, my iPhone 4 (stored neatly under the sofa) found. On (it was released) after turning, I saw that I had 3G service, however, did not work. Voice calls work fine, 3G yet. To prevent current activation of a iPhone 2G and iPhone 4 fully reactivate the way?

Howdy folks – iPhone 3g, and I’m getting horrific slow data speed. I don’t think it’s the network this time though. Operational speed is not an issue here, I’m actually not all that disappointed with device performance, particularly when it’s 2 revisions back.

Granted, this screen capture is at 3 bars, but I see the same speed regardless of signal strength. I had my father-in-law do a bandwidth test on his iPhone 4 (I know, different hardware, but still the same network) – he was getting 1.4mb. My latency has always been obscene.

Hard reset does not have any effect on the data speed
Wifi speed is very good, which leads me to suspect a possible issue with the 3g radio.

I’m currently running firmware 4.1 (8B117), modem firmware is 05.14.02. I can’t say with any certainty whether the 3g speed issue started when I installed 4.1.

Should I perhaps make the jump to 4.2 to see if I’m looking at an issue that could be solved by that?

I have to make the device last until at least March ’11, which is when I’m up for discounted upgrade, so I’m looking at possible troubleshooting routes.

My daughter is becoming quite a talented graphic artist, drawing cartoons and other storylines both on the computer and by hand. I am thinking about buying her an Apple desktop or laptop because I have heard that Apple is the preferred computer of graphic artists. Any opinions by graphics artists? I think the last time I used an apple was the Apple I back in the late 1970′s.
Also, any suggestions on graphics software? Is Dreamweaver a good program for this application? I am a IBM clone expert so I know this is not the best computer for this application. I am looking for specific information and opinions (not simply “I like it or dislike it). Give me specifics. Educate me!

Just saw that Radio Shack extended their special on the I-phones through tomorrow. I currently have a 3G and I’m currently past my 2 yr contract period. I’ve been wanting to get the 4G and give my 3G to my daughter, so just wanted to to run my plan through yall and see if there are any issues / concerns.

The plan is to buy a 4G from Radio Shack, switch my current number from the 3G to it, add my daughter’s number to the 3G and obviously opt into a family plan from the individual plan I have now. Main concern is will my unlimited data plan follow me to the 4G seeing I’m switching to a family plan and / or doing this through Radio Shack and not an ATT store?

I know I’d be locked into a new 2 yr contract with the 4G, but what about the 3G? With the possibility of Apple releasing a newer phone later next year, will I be able to upgrade the 3G without incurring any penalty fees? I guess I’m just not sure if switching to the family plan will incur a 2 yr contract on all phones. Obviously, if a newer phone were released, the 3G number would then go to the 4G and the 4G # would then go to the new phone, Dad gets the newer phone :smileyvery-happy:

My wife & I bought iPhone 4′s for ourselves back in October. Well, front and back (on her phone) got shattered from some sort of bad drop. I am rather upset at her, to say the least. AT&T told me I would have to pay an unsubsidized price of $ 699 for a replacement. I just want to buy an AT&T pre-paid phone for her using her same number…Is this possible??

I am trying to find a recipe to make apple cobbler from scratch, since I don’t have any access to some Cake mixes needed in some other recipies I looked up. Also, if you could give the measurments in grams, and Celsius, as oposed to cups and Farenheit.

I recently bought a macbook pro and i want to upgrade the hard drive, but the nearest apple store is 40 min away from me I would do it myself but i have apple care and i dont wanna void the warranty. Is there a way apple can see if you have opened your macbook or not?
Btw its a macbook pro 13 inch 2.26 ghz 2009 model.

I had a question about apple’s/AT&T’s policy when it comes to people who want to use their iphone in countries where carrier lock is not required. As I understand, If a person stayed in the US for 2 yrs, fulfilled the AT&T contract and now, technically he has paid enough to own(no liability from AT&T) the iphone (as unlocked).If he wants to visit a country and use his iphone, is there a provision that apple/AT&T will provide such customer’s unlock code(or factory unlock settings) etc, so that they don’t face any issue while using their iphone in any other country?
Same case if someone breaks the contract by paying the consequence amount(399USD).He now owns the phone and paid for the device ,so should be able to use it in whichever country he wish. Also learned in apple forum that apple has no role in unlocking and it all depends on AT&T for the unlocking.
So I originally wanted a captivate, but they were out of stock and my sister wanted a phone right there and then, so we both ended up getting iPhone 3gs (they each cost $ 100 w/new contract) .We got them at walmart, btw.
It’s been about two weeks since we’ve had the phones and I was wondering if I could exchange my phone at any at&t store or if it has to be at the place I bought it? Also, how does the exchange work?

I want to get an apple account on iTunes, but I don’t want to put my credit card number in. All I would want to use is iTunes gift cards. I have tried getting an apple account without putting my credit card number in, but it doesn’t seem to work.   I had a phone stolen about 3 weeks ago and after a week of hoping it would turn up decided to bite the bullet and buy another one. My dilemma is that a few days ago I was informed by the police that they’d found it. Can I return the replacement one I bought to ATT for a full refund? They also made me sign a 2 year contract when I purchased my replacement phone.

I misplaced my phone recently and when I tried calling it, it would go straight to voicemail. I checked the data usage the next morning and it had used 24000Kb, so I assumed the phone was stolen and someone was draining my data. I cancelled the account, but later that day a friend found the phone. Does anyone have an explanation for this large amount of data sent while the phone was misplaced?
