What plan is best for an Overseas i-phone in the USA?

Hello AT+T,

 

I now own an i-Phone 3GS, legitimately paid for from the Vietnam Apple store. 

 

I’ll be relocating for college to Columbus, Ohio in the tumble and it seems which it will be probable to operate my iPhone with AT&T, though I have 2 questions:

 

1) What would be the many befitting AT&T devise which would let me operate the 3GS network and has enlightened intl text/call rates?

2) After relocating to the US can I still switch my SIM cards? (i.e. when I go home to revisit my family might I take out my US SIM and operate my Vietnamese SIM for the generation of my stay?)

I cannot tell photos to MobileMe from my IPhone thru AT&T’s Edge Network but i can thru a wifi network.

Apple states it’s a AT&T network issue. Any ideas?

Just paid for this phone used from someone locally…was told when I paid for it which I indispensable to put my sim label in and bond it to the Personal Computer to be means to have calls…I paid for it anyways.

 

I get it home and do all to turn on the sim in it and I can’t listen to people when they call and they can’t listen to me possibly unless it is on speaker.

 

I have attempted pulling the energy and home buttons for 8 secs to reset it and zero happened, the tongue-tied switch is not on.  I am now in the routine of restoring it.  I do not know if this will work though does any one have any alternative suggestions?

Blue SIM Card

I’ve been carrying problems with forsaken calls and even creation or reception calls.  I went to an ATT&T store and was told it was since I had a single of the aged SIM Cards with the blue backs in my IPhone 3G.  They switched it out and so distant so good.

 

My subject is, because would a SIM label have any difference?  He pronounced when they have “improvements” to the towers the newer cards work improved with those improvements????

 

I suspicion a SIM label was nothign some-more afterwards an identiciation number???

Outrageous Hike in ETF for new iPhone contracts

I did not see anywhere to email corporate from OLAM.  So, I’m posting my exasperation here.  The travel to $325.00 for the ETF for latest iPhone contracts is outrageous.  I feel ATT is receiving value of iPhone owners whilst giving bad service.  The use in my area has gotten gradually worse in the final year.  Constant forsaken calls and delayed 3g data. When I initial switched, I was unequivocally happy with ATT use and had 2 evident family members switch from Verizon, and my niece and a integrate friends. I similar to the rollover and the capability to barter SIMS and if I have a non iPhone phone, the unlocking service.

 

I was happy to see I am authorised to ascent to the subsequent iPhone in Jun and was formulation to do so. But, I am not signing on for that ETF, generally with the deplorable service. At this point, a switch behind to Verizon and an iPad or iPod hold seems to be in my future.  Or may be Page Plus, that has good rates and runs on Verizon’s network.

 

I’m unequivocally contemptible to have to cruise this, but, it’s only a phone and I will live. (& yes, I know Verizon charges a aloft ETF for smartphones, though I do not consider I’ll be starting for a single of those).

I review which iPhone 4G HD is to be deferred up to Jun 2011 notwithstanding multiform iPhone users have the early eligiblity. Anyone hold this to be true?

iPhone 3Gs trouble connecting to cellular network

My iPhone 3Gs, which I have been regulating for roughly a full year now, is unexpected carrying difficulty staying continuous to the mobile network.  It is not always a problem, though there have been times via the day when the network tie in the top left palm dilemma possibly says “Searching…..” or “No Service” – even when I am right in the center of the AT&T network area.

 

I am not regulating the phone any otherwise than I have for the prior year.  The iPhone has not been damaged, gotten wet, etc.  This is simply an strident complaint which proposed in the past 2 weeks and seems to be removing gradually worse, i.e. the time it takes to essentially bond to the network is removing longer and longer and longer.

 

I have attempted resetting the network settings.  That seemed to work for a couple of hours, afterwards the problems returned.

 

I have attempted switching in to Airplane mode and afterwards shutting Airplane mode off.  That worked the initial time, though right away when I click it behind from Airplane mode it goes right behind to “Searching….” and only stays which way.

 

Is any one else carrying this problem?   Is there a solution??

How can I find what  is my iPhone’s OS?How would I ascent my iPhone’s OS to OS 3.1 if I am not now using 3.1? I Checked for Updates, rebboted my phones and attempted to send a print around MMS and it was never perceived or bounced back? I was incompetent to discuss it if my iPhone’s was using OS 3.1 as I was continuous to iTunes? Thanks in allege for your replies.

 

I perceived the next summary from AT&T today. I am repelled which I am incompetent to reply to their email with the on top of subject which blows my mind?

 

MESSAGE FROM ATT&T: Now with MMS await from AT&T, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS business can send any sort of summary – text, photos, audio, video, and more.


To capacitate MMS messaging, bond your iPhone to your mechanism and click “Check for Update” in iTunes. Once the refurbish is completed, restart your iPhone by branch it off afterwards on again. Note which iPhone OS 3.1 is compulsory so we might need to perform which program refurbish first. Once we bond to iTunes, we will be stirred by the scold steps.
