Hello, my name is Alex and I’m anticipating I’ll find a little people who have tackled the same complaint as I’m having!

The backstory: I purchased my iPad 3g behind in the spring. Â It arrived at my former apartment residence in New Jersey in May, and I shortly activated total 3G. Â I had no issues with it, and I was really gratified with the 3G service. Â Fast brazen to August, I done a long-distance pierce to Northern Maine. Â Throughout the outing up and even as I unpacked, I had EDGE Partner use that was quick sufficient for all I needed. Â I was happy–I do not need to tide media divided from my WiFi connection, yet I only wish elementary tasks (even if the speeds aren’t thoughts boggling).

About a month later, I perceived a summary that my remuneration had unsuccessful given I’d mislaid to refurbish my billing address. Â It was my fault, and I called AT&T and sorted the make a difference out. Â But ever given then, I can no longer bond to the EDGE Partner network. Â I even attempted pushing 2 hours south to an area distant from the Canadian limit and that had clever EDGE (not EDGE Partner) use the final time I’d been there (the prior time I’d even watched a YouTube video even yet it was grainy and slow). Â This time: no luck.

I did a little investigate in the forums and attempted all of the tricks that worked for others: I reset my network settings, I powered down the iPad and incited it behind on, I called AT&T and had them reset my tie on their end, I took my micro SIM label out and put it behind in, altered my use address to my parents’ residence in NJ (which has full 3G)… Â Nothing has worked.

Looking at the tip left dilemma of my iPad, here’s what I see now: I have 5 bars of service–but it says AT&T (not 3G, EDGE or G, that is what it used to contend when I browsed in my town). Â No make a difference where I go, those AT&T bars stick. Â The only time they dump in numbers is when I expostulate by the center of the woods–eventually I get “No Service”, that is all expected. Â For the hold up of me, I can’t figure out what’s starting on.

Has any one else mislaid their 3G/EDGE/EDGE Partner use and not been means to get it back? Â I’ve oral twice to AT&T reps, and whilst they were nice, they were incompetent to get anywhere in regulating the issue.

Thank we for your responses and assistance. Â I’ll be job AT&T as shortly as I’m out of work to try again, and if I have any luck, I will post a reply here to hopefully assistance others in the same boat.
