Upgrade to Iphone 4 but never activate it

Hi, All -

I have an strange iphone that I am happy with. However, I wish to ascent to iphone 4 and give it to my crony as a present. Is it probable toÂ upgrade online,Â get it shipped and when I embrace it, never turn on it? Just keep regulating my aged iphone.

I went throughÂ similarÂ postsÂ on this forum and thereÂ seems to be 2 opinions people have: 1. i can do it and ATTÂ wont do anything as prolonged as i pointer an additional 2 yearÂ contract; 2. if i dont Â activate latest iphone 4 inside of thirty days, ATT will assign me full cost of iphone 4

Did any one try this? I dont thoughts an additional 2 year stipulate though patently dont wish to get billed an additional 400 after I give the phone to my friend.

I switched from a Blackberry to an iPhone 4 and right away anytime someone sends me an email they embrace a Delivery Status Notification Failure:

Ok, so got my latest 4 yesterday.Â I synced it final night, though my apps didn’t come over.Â I recollect when I got the 3gs all the apps came over automatically (I think).Â Is there something I need to do or can I still get them over?

Hi,

I live in Istanbul-Turkey.

I came to USA inside of the final Nov and I paid for an Iphone4 from an apple store. I paid for it but a stipulate profitable $660 for it. When I come behind to my country, I satisfied which my Iphone is sealed to work only with AT&T simcards, so I could not operate it with out internal phone user TURKCELL.

I had paid the non-discount cost of the phone, but signing any stipulate with AT&T; so I consider I have the right to operate my phone in my country. PleaseÂ share me the approach to clear of my device, given I did not buy it with any bonus offering by AT&T. is it probable to clear it in this resources ( I can send the check around e-mail for proof which I have paid for the device but a contract.).

I now have a 16GB iPhone 3GS and I positively hatred it. It’s been a suffering for the final 2 months and I’ve owned it given Apr 2010. I wish a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, though I do not know how to get one.. I do not wish to compensate the $400 full sell pricing. I’m fine with profitable the $200 early ascent fee.. though how most would I compensate just for the phone? $100, similar to the 2-year price? FREE, similar to the Best Buy price? Or $400, similar to the full price?

I’m told I’m authorised to ascent to the iPhone 4, though I hatred this iPhone… my family all has iPhone 4′s and Blackberry Torches.. I do not similar to them.

I am a rookie.Â iPhone 3GS OS4.Â I managed to successfully download a book from the web however it went to my mechanism rsther than than to my iPhone.Â The download commissioned a module (on the computer) calledÂ Adobe Digital Editions to action as a reader.Â I see no approach to send it to my iPhone.Â Help please.

I have an ATT particular devise with an iPhone 4 Â and I am still in contract. I wish to stick on a family devise (also ATT). Since I have a opposite area code, I would substantially have to shift my series Â or area code. Would switching from particular to family dispute with my contract? Will I be means to shift my area formula or would it have to be my total number? If I do shift the number, will I be means to keep my total data?
