I just bought my iPhone 3gs last week, got home, and connected it to my wi-fi signal at home. Now, this morning, I woke up to an email saying that I was nearing the limit of my 200MB data plan.

I just checked, and it says that I’m connected to my home network, which is not through AT&T. I’ve had it connected to my wi-fi since I got it on Thursda. It says on the AT&T site that if you browse while connected to wi-fi it will not use your data plan.

Are there some secret steps that I missed to getting my iPhone to use the wi-fi instead of my data plan?
