If u enter the browser would it auto use the EDGE network or would it utilize wifi? im asking because i donot have unlimited internet on t-mobile and am planning to buy an unlocked iphone. how would it affect the applications?

This does work in fact regardless of how it is unlocked. What you will need to purchase is any of their web to go packages. On the device go to settings then to network settings. Then under data settings type epc.tmobile.com where it asks to an apn and leave the username and password blank. This works awesome. I have my iPhone on T-Mobile and I use their data every day. If you need more help with this you can check out ifonehacks.com but this is pretty easy to setup. Note that jailbreaking is not required for this but if you do decide to jailbreak that won’t be a problem.
the iphone would automatically use EDGE, but tmobile won’t even let your phone access your internet if you don’t have an internet plan. Whenever you are connected to a wifi source, it will automatically use that one even if you do have an internet plan.
I have an iphone on t-mobile, don’t have an internet plan at all. When I am out of wifi zone, my iphone simply won’t let me access the web at all.
if u have tmoilbe and an iphone, i assume its a hacked phone, n therefore the internet wont work on edge, it would n should work on wifi, but since its a phone for at&t internet over edge will only work over their network… least thats how it is for my at&t blackjack hacked for tmobile.
