I paid for a used iPhone 3GS which didn’t come with a SIM card. The device is now unusable: It only has an choice to have an puncture phone call.

When I bond the iPhone to iTunes it tells me which the iPhone is blank the SIM card. As a result, I am incompetent to entrance the device.

I suspicion which the miss of a SIM label wouldn’t be a complaint given I do not intend to operate the iPhone as a phone, only as an mp3 player. Unfortunately, it appears which a current SIM label is compulsory even if I do not devise to operate the iPhone’s wireless features. Since I have no seductiveness in regulating this device as a phone, I do not devise to pointer up for a 2 year contract. I only wish to get the device to work as an mp3 player… though even for something as elementary as which I need a current SIM card.

Can someone discuss it me if it is probable turn on the iPhone (get the device’s nonwireless facilities to work) with a $10 or cheaper AT&T SIM card? Again, I am not meddlesome in regulating the device as a phone, only as an mp3 player.
