Â I upgraded my old iPhone to a new iPhone 4 and was thinking about giving her my old one. Â How do I go about switching the phone? Â If I swap sim cards, it wants to activate the phone and choose a data plan. Â But I already have one on that number.

I used my dad’s upgrade to get the iphone 4. It just arrived at my house today and I was wondering how I would activate the phone under my number. Can I just call at&t or would I have to go to the store in order to get this done ? Â

I have a 2g I had to restore and it’s telling me to activate the phone when I do that will it see this phone as activating a new phone thru iTunes? I have eligibility for the new phone but don’t want to screw anything up

My friend is giving me their iphone as a birthday present since he no longer uses it. And is now with a different phone and different provider. I’m currently with a sprint provider and my contract is up. When I go to activate the phone and start a plan with at&t will i have to sign a 2 year contract?
