SO, heard a rumor from a customer that called me…that best buy was giving out free 8gb 3gs IPHONES, today for upgrades and new lines…guess who just walked out of best buy with 2 free iphones….awesome.

I know you are unable to use the new “free” service with the 3GS only, but know there is a way around this if you use someone else’s ipad, ip4 or touch4. Has anyone been able to say go to like an apple store or best buy and use one of the demo devices to successfully setup find my iphone? I can’t justify spending $200-$400 on a fourth gen device for something that is “free”. I know this is just a small portion of the mobile me, but frankly that’s all I want. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone own this case? I have the defender case which i use when i go hiking or do something in which my phone may be subjected to accidental abuse. However day to day this case is bulky and the biggest issue is the silicone cover sticks to every one of my pockets make it a pain to take in and out of my pocket. I love the all in one feel of the otterbox casses and i was wondering if anyone owns the commuter case for the iphone 4 and specifically:  1. Does it have a large opening at the headphone jack (i have grado headphones and have to use a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter that is large and not compatible with most cases (it does work with the defender opening)  2. Is the outer case similar to the defender in that it’s silicone making it difficult to take in and out of your pocket.  Also if anyone knows any brick and mortar store where these are sold that would be awesome too, so far i’ve gone to target, att and best buy and have struck out in all 3 places.  Thanks!
Ok so im a new ATT customer ordered my I4 7/29. of course the order says back order. Reading through all the posts i see different results for online, instore, over the phone orders. As i am a new customer. How would i go about canceling my order and walking into att or a best buy or apple and getting it there. would i have to do the process all over? as far as credit check and info? i dont want to wait 2-3 weeks if my local best buy has them in stock

I have an iphone 4, will never buy another one, perhaps an apple product, as well. I live an hour away from an apple store. Got my phone from AT&T (preordered). There were no cases in their store at launch day, so I had to get mine at best buy. So, my options in the case program is get another case (in 3-4 weeks)Â or return my iphone. The only reason I don’t return it is all the money I sunk in accessories. Factor in the no sim errors I get 15 times a day (already tried all fixes outside of placing tape on my sim tray), and you can see why my next phone won’t be an iphone. Apple should be ashamed, and if there is a class-action lawsuit, I will sign up. I feel violated for trusting Apple’s reputation.

So I have had two major issues with my new Iphone 4 and wanted to see if anyone else has either? First one being the phone will not vibrate when put into silent mode, despite being put to On in the Settings and having reset network setttings. A guy at the Apple store said I might have just gotten a bad one in the bunch where the vibrate does not work. But I need to take that back to Best Buy since they installed a screen on it.  The other issue which I am mainly curious about if it is happening to others is regarding battery life overnight when put into airplane mode and powered off. My battery seems to be draining by this. Last night I tested both my Iphone 4 and my old 3GS (now my wife’s). Before we went to bed, we turned WIFI off, put both into airplane mode and powered them off for the night. Mine was at 40% and 3GS was at 80%. This morning though after powering back up, mine went down to 13% and hers was still at 80%. Something seems wrong with this and is a real pain. Is this true with others Iphone4′s or another issue that will cause me to make a return? Thanks for your feedback.

I am looking at placing my iPhone order soon. I would strongly prefer to physically pick up the phone from a store to prevent any issues that might arise from shipping (damage, theft, etc…). Apple’s site says you can order online for in-store pickup but it does not give that option after the pre-approval process. AT&T’s site also only offers shipping.  Are Apple and/or AT&T stores taking names for phones to be picked up or are they just giving out what they get to the first people who show up on a given day? It sounds like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and RadioShack do not offer this option due to limited shipments and existing pre-order backlogs.  Also, any idea about the wait time for in-store waiting lists versus the 2-3 weeks online?
Hey guys I’m new here and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem that I have.  I currently have an iPhone 3G and my husband has a Samsung Jack. We purchased his phone through Best Buy and we have the monthly extended warranty on it and we had to send it off today because he accidently broke the screen. The Mobile representative told us that they would probably “junk out” his phone so we are going to upgrade my line and get the iPhone 4 and I will give him my iPhone 3G until he is eligible for a full upgrade next summer.  My question is about the sim cards. Since he does not have a phone right now I went ahead and purchased a Go Phone to temporarily use while we are waiting to see what is going on with his Jack. He wants me to use the Go Phone and go ahead and give him my iPhone 3G now since I will be the one getting the new phone in the end. Are we able to just switch out the sim cards and he can just change everything on my phone? Does he need his own account in iTunes and if so does it ask him to renew his line when he syncs it? They said that it will take about to weeks to find out the status of his Jack and I would like to keep my iPhone data plan on my line because I will be grandfathered in when I upgrade. I just need to know the steps that we need to take to get this solved.  Thanks

I know the iphone 4 just came out but I’m just kind of curious as to when otterbox will have cases for the iphone 4? is it next week, next few weeks. How long until I can properly protect my phone? Â This is my first iphone/smartphone, I bought a temperary case at best buy until the otterboxes come out, just kind of curious when that’ll be.
