Hello, Does anyone know if there’s an app in the iPhone app store that announces the caller by name when someone calls? I have the iPhone 4.
I’ve had my iPhone 3GS for only a short while, so I don’t know a lot about it. Today, I got a call from my home phone, which is set up not disclose our name on the caller ID, and my device blocked it. How do I go about getting my iPhone to accept those calls?  Julio
The iphone was purchased from att. They originally assigned the wrong number (wrong area code), but were able to fix that at the store. The caller id shown when i call a regular phone displays my correct phone#. It doesn’t show my user name from the profile for this phone. This is the first problem. When I use facetime, the caller id shows a number for which the phone was originally set up (att used the wrong area code and changed that at the store)
When I receive calls I cannot hear the caller. How can I adjust the volume?
I have a new Apple iphone 3GS and when some of my contacts call they do not show up on the caller id. They come up as unknown caller. Is this because they are not on the AT&T network? I am displayed on their phones when I call them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
If I’m listening to music on my iPhone using “regular” earphones (no mic) and a call comes in, do I have to remove my earphones to hear the caller? Or will the caller be heard through the regular earphones?  If the regular earphones work in this situation, does that mean the iPhone’s mic is live and I can hear through the earphones and talk via the phone’s mic?  Thanks, DJRÂ
I have had a iPhone for about 2 years and yesterday I got 2 calls one after the other and it had a blocked id on it. What was this, the iphone blocking or the caller blocking? Thanks
I currently own an iPhone 3G, which was purchased earlier this year. When I got it, I tried calling someone after setting it up and the caller ID showed a completely different name was associated with my phone number. I tried calling at&t, and they said after about 30 minutes on the phone to wait about 24 hours and it should be fixed. Â I waited 24 hours. Nothing was fixed. I waited another 3 weeks and still nothing was fixed. I called them, and they said that they would have to get another tech support guy to answer my question. After being on hold for another half-hour, they said “We need you to wait a few more minutes.” I waited a few minutes, however the call was dropped cause I was under a bridge. Â I called again, and still they couldn’t do anything about it, they suggested that someone else’s name is associated with that number, and is not in at&t’s database, but rather some other caller ID database. It has not been fixed, and I am reluctant to call again because nothing will be accomplished. Â I would like to be able to use my caller ID name, but since at&t has done nothing to help I have to set it to not show caller ID, in the settings pane. Â Also, since my Caller ID is messed up, I keep receiving random calls for “Valdez Saucedo” from Texas, Arizona, or some other random U.S. Area code. That happened for a few months, and then the caller stopped asking me to confirm that I was/was not the person, which I was obviously not. Also, when the person actually said something, it just went to voicemail so I could not press “1″ to have them stop calling. Now, I keep getting calls from the same number, except when I answer it there is no sound coming from the other end of the call. Just silence. Â Â If at&t would be so kind as to at least help me get my caller ID fixed, and stop this person from calling me (since you can’t blacklist on the iphone), then that would be nice. If I am paying > $50 a month for my phone service, I would at least like it to show the correct information when I call people. Â Since people might get this confused, IT DOES NOT SHOW AN INCORRECT NUMBER WHEN I CALL PEOPLE. IT SHOWS MY NAME TO BE “VALDEZ SAUCEDO” WHICH IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT MY NAME! Â If at&t does not resolve this soon, I am never going to purchase cell phone service from them again.Â
It’s not every day that the telephone rings and the man’s voice at the other end happens to be a legendary composer of film music. But that’s what happened to me yesterday. My home phone rang at 5pm and the caller was none other than …
