iPhone with 3.1.2.  Denver, CO.

Full signal strength.

Sometimes i cannot connect to check email or browse the net.  Calls sometimes drop.

Exchanged the phone several times, Apple is suspecting a problem with the SIM.  Anyone every heard of this?

Know several others with iphones, one of my other friends is having the same problem.  We bought our phones at the same time, same store, etc.  Could we have received a bad batch of sim cards?  Another friend had this problem and he got a new SIM and he has never seen the problem since.

Will ATT issue me a new SIM if i just walk into one of their stores??

Thanks in advance.

was using my iPhone 3GS on airplane mode on my trip from Denver to Austin up to the point we had to put them away. I turned the screen off and put it in my pocket. At the time we landed I took out my phone again to find that my iPhone was unresponsive. I pressed the home button and it didn’t turn on the screen, so I assumed I actually shut if off. So I pressed the silver one at the top hoping my phone would turn on but that didn’t work either. Got home to plug in my iPhone to the charger and was unresponsive. Is there something I can do (other than going to the ATT store) to revive my phone? Or is my phone just totally dead now? (I had this phone since July.) Was working totally find up to that point.

I hate my iPhone!!!
