Other then smalrt limits deso anyone know how to block incoming calls and text from a certian number without either party knowing it is blocked?

I have done the temp text blocking through customer service due to harrassing texts and calls, it worked that person them them alone but now another person is doing the same thing and I don’t want to stop ALL the texts on this line.

When opening folders, menus or emails the transition of the screen (like when opening the folder, it opens from the top and slides down) is slow, not a smooth transition.  Anyone else get this?  I am running 4.1.  Its like I am running too much in the background the processor cannot keep up.     I did a restore and it seemed to fix it but now its doing the same thing.

I have iphone 3gs and still time to go until I can upgrade. My friend has an old phone and can upgrade immediately but doesn’t want to pay for the new iphone.   I offered her to pay for the upgrade if she agrees to take my 3gs instead.    Would there be any issues with having the iphone4 work on my account after exchanging sim cards? I have a 3gs so I obviously have an iphone data plan and an ongoing wireless contract.   I know this sounds intuitively simple but am concerned about artificial obstacles set up by AT&T which would prevent the exchange.   Anyone with experience doing the same?   Thank you!

every since i got on my moms plan i havent been able to recieve text from some out of state numbers, and some in state numbers? i called 611 and they even took my line off the network and then put it back on and it’s still doing the same thing. not sure what to do ?

I’ve seen quite a few complaints about the data limitations on the iPhone in the past month or so and some have even threatened to leave AT&T for Verizon.  As they say, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. It looks like Verizon is doing the same thing as AT&T with changing their data plans.   http://www.electronista.com/articles/10/07/20/pricing.still.unclear/

When my wifi network is completely open, my iphone 4 connects and stays connected with no problem but once I enable security and enter the password on my iphone, it connects and then after a few minutes reverts back to 3G. To reconnect I must go into the settings and have to re-enter the password and it connects. My wife’s and friends iphone 4′s are doing the same thing. Every free wifi hotspot works, it’s only password protected wifi’s. Anyone have an answer?

I bought a new iPhone 4G a little over a week ago and it’s already blown through 325mb of data with little real use.   It appears that when it’s checking emails it can use from 3mb to more typically 20mb and up to 50mb each time it checks. Sometimes it appears there is only a 120K usage but not sure what those are. Could be checking for email with nothing to get. I have gone through up to 100mb in a day!   ATT tech support didn’t know what to day. Said I should contact Billing who obviously didn’t know what to do.    I went to an Apple Genius at the local ATT store and he didn’t even take the time to really think it through, but we did reset the phone and reinstalled the OS.    I am not playing any network games, haven’t even downloaded them. I’ve only downloaded really popular apps and frankly, haven’t run them much. I am running facebook with little activity.  I am doing the same things I’ve been doing on my blackberry and I was using less than 40mb per month.    I’m at a loss. I don’t even know who to contact to figure this out at this point.   Anyone else having this problem? Better check your data usage.   Stephen Davis

I have no complaints about anything, but I like being able to use my own wallpaper. I also like the fact that I can create playlists on my iPod. I’m sure I’ll find more that I like, but I kind of chuckle when I read posts from people who have the slightest difficulty with something and they go nuts saying it sucks. It’s new, so play with it a little before giving it a bad review. Also, if you had difficulty downloading the software, understand that millions of people are doing the same thing as you, so it has to put a strain on the servers at Apple.

From engadet   Update: It seems there’s been a last-minute change in plans at some RadioShacks — pre-orders will no longer require a $50 deposit, and some locations will be opening early in the morning. Our advice? Check with your local store right now. Update 2: We’ve been tipped that Apple may now be blocking third-party retailers from taking pre-orders altogether tomorrow. RadioShack already changed its story on us, and now Best Buy locations have started doing the same, telling us that they definitely won’t be taking pre-orders tomorrow but may be by the end of the week. Bottom line — hit up Apple’s website in the morning.   http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/14/how-to-pre-order-the-iphone-4/
