Google has finally done what every android user and otherwise too have been hoping for all this time….

The latest Google maps 5.7 Version comes with Transit Navigation (beta). Now users across the world are going to enjoy turn-by-turn and stop-by-stop navigation for public transit systems.
This feature will especially come handy when u are travelling in a foreign land and cannot read the local language.what is does is to use your phone’s GPS to determine your current location along your route and alerts you when it’s time to get off or make a transfer.

But if this has not got u excited yet , then the even bigger feature is to have the ability to download maps
Google has added a “Download map area” option to its Labs feature within Google Maps for Android 5.7. Using the new feature, a user can select a Google Place and then download a map of the neighboring 10 miles, down to street level. so You can download at least 10 miles radius on a selected Google maps. It’s not like you can download a whole country but still it’s far better than having to use the Data service .All u need to do is to find a WIFI hotspot and download the 10 Miles area on ur device and off u go !!!
