Former AT&T client. Left the USA. Unlock my iPhone 3GS?
Hi, I bought my iPhone 3GS in California with At&T and an iPhone plan as I lived there for a few months. I left the USA one month ago back to France. I tried to use my iPhone with my local carrier, but cannot activate it, as it seems it is locked to work only with AT&T. I wonder if AT&T can help me unlock this phone to use it in France? I could provide any official document needed, like my papers from AT&T or proofs that I live in France. Edited: Actually I found that it is very unlikely and that I would need to do it through a third party carrier... I'm hating having paid for a phone I can't use. iPhone tips and tricks?
Any body found any cool tricks on their iPhone? (voice and data) issues: Goto settings - General -Reset at the bottom -Reset Network Settings Press home key and power button together to take screen shot of whats on the screen double tap the home button will take you to your Favorites in contacts Those are the only ones that come to mind at this time. Existing customer considering an iphone
So I'm another frustrated current ATT customer who can't get the discounted iphone. Here's my question: it's cheaper for me to cancel my current phone, then sign up as a new customer with ATT, is there any way I can request or keep my current phone number? i have the iphone 3G but how do i send pic messages it does not have that option in the message area an i cant recieve messages either i had some one send me a couple of pics but nothing never came threw

Iphone and standard smiley’s
Okay, I know the iphone has the japanese version as smileys also know as emoji. But my question is, can the iphone handle standard smileys? You know how some reqular phone and the g1 let you send regular smileys, is the iphone cabanble of showing them as a smiley or will come thru like :-)? How do I save attachments in my mms?

Slightly Off topic – iTunes
installing iTunes on my mom's pc (Dell Inspiron) it says after installing upon opening that she cannot burn cd's or import music. Any Ideas on how to fix??
