Comex gets Apple internship, iPhone 4S might be free, Tim Cook’s email to workers

The hacker Comex has been given an internship at Apple. The part that seems odd is that Comex is the person behind the JailBreakMe hacks that unlocked the iPhone. Could the iPhone 4S be a free smartphone? Chris burns over at SlashGear thinks so. How dominating would the iPhone be if it were offered for [...]

Jellyphant asked: I do want something nice, and I’m interested in the touch screen phones, as well, but I haven’t really checked out the phones because I’m still with my current service, t-mobile, but I’m switching soon. I would like a pretty good camera and for the phone to be able to play music, and [...]

Email Scrolling issue

For about a month or so, when I write an email on my phone, the text scrolls left to right and then off the screen, whereas, it used to line return and wrap so until you filled the screen, you could see everything that you typed. I have done a reset (home/power button) and it [...]

I have a 200MB limited plan – and I received notice from ATT that I was reaching plan limit.  I logged in a checked and saw the billing cycle was coming up in 3 days - and I had enough MB to get me through it without going over.  I then received an email the next day that I went over – I had a 1MB web browsing session at 3AM on Saturday night – when I was fast asleep.  09/26 03:03 AM phone Internet/MEdia Net Sent 18825KB   Now I get upgraded to 2GB for the month for $15 - on the last day of my billing cycle.  I did my work to make sure I was not going over and I failed.  I called ATT and they could not tell me what this was for.  If I have an app that is sucking up Internet while I sleep I would like to know this.  ATT needs to provide the tools to help manage these plans – and not just blindly blame others.  I called customer service and got no help.

I currently use my Iphone with my company’s exchange email.  The default calendar on the Iphone is exchange.   When I make an entry on my desktop Outlook 2007, two entries will appear on the iphone, one with a red dot and one with a blue dot.  Not sure why I am showing two entries.  Anyone know why I display two entries?  I want my Iphone calender and Outlook on my desktop to be sync’d.   At the same time since I have two entries on my iphone I receive duplicate calendar alerts but I only want one.  I figured once I can resolve the first issue the second one should be fixed as well.   Thanks, Jim
