Today is the first day that Nokia 5800 has been sold for the one who reserved for it in Thailand. Nokia 5800 is the most wanted phone ever for Thai people. I must admit that I have never seen any phone that have very great feedback like this. The phone started selling at 1.00 PM but let guess when the first one come to queue? … 5.00 AM!! He is the student that wait 5800 for a long time. Congratulations, at last you owned it.
Although the air temperature is quite hot (35C) but they are willing to wait. Thanks Nokia Thailand for well management. They have food for the customer in queue all the time. If who get tired or feel hot, they also have refreshing towel for free too! Wow! However, they are nearly no need since the queue went quite fast because of hundred of cashier counters Nokia managed for customer. Not only well managed event is, but well designed too. I like this demo booth much! The event was very big and professional. Staffs are very professional and have good knowledge on Nokia 5800. Till now, more than three thousands Nokia 5800 have already been sold. And it’s out of stock now. (As I said, it’s for one who reserved for it only.) Wow! This is only the first day. They will be available for general users in next few days. Congratulations once again to Nokia for great success. Your phone are rock!

Forum Nokia Developer Conference 09, INDIA – Infinite Possibilities The stadium is jam packed….BANG! and what an event! Today I had a chance to attend this event at the software capital of India, Bangalore. The event was held at Taj Residency in the heart of the city (very good location, great arrangements). The event witnessed overwhelming response by a good number of developing companies, individual developers, operator leaders, Nokia and Symbian leaders. The crowd seemed to go above 400 in number. The first such event in India, focussed on the developer community and development oppurtunities. However, it also covered a variety of interesting keynotes from ellite speakers , amongst which were Mobile value added services (MVAS), Location based services (LBS), Mobile widgets, emerging markets, trends in mobile OS development, smartphone evolution, etc. Not to forget Technology Showcase where successful developers presented their applications and future roadmaps. The Forum Nokia team organising the event showed high hospitability towards the participants. The technical guys, Balagopal NKnair and Nitin Srivastava, were busy discussing and sharing their technical expertise with the crowd. Shiraz Datta was also very friendly and discussed development oppurtunities with the participants. It was quite a good time for me to network with some great people including some developers from other technologies and Forum Nokia Champions, whom I had never meet before. Special thanks to Mr. Prakash Sayini and Mr. Santosh Ostwal for sharing their personal career experiences and words of advice to students after the wind up. Last but not the least, the special memorable dinner with fellow Forum Nokia Champions and Forum Nokia Team before winding up. Also great thanks to Nicholas Foo, Technical leader for the Forum Nokia, APAC, for sharing the story of evolution of Forum Nokia with us at the dinner. Like mentioned at the event, the presentations should be available at the event site soon. Well done Forum Nokia… So where is the next one? Cheers, Croozeus
