I have 2007 Honda Civic and I have an adapter for my iPhone so I can listen to my iPod, but it’s not a USB port. It’s an adapter that goes where the ear buds adapter goes. With this setup, I have to control my music on my iPhone, not with my controllers on the steering wheel. Now my wife has a 2009 Honda Civic with the USB adapter so I can control the music through controllers on my steering wheel. I’d like do that in my car, so is there an adapter that can do this? I’m hoping if there is an adapter it can charge my iPhone too.

I just purchased a 2007 Honda Civic Coupe EX. It has an aux option and it also has an adapter which is just jack similar to what to what you plug in for ear buds. My wife has an 09 Honda Civic and it has a USB port for my iPhone. My question is what kind of adapter do I need to be able to use my iPod part of my iPhone with this kind of adapter?
