I got my brand new iPhone 3GS on the 12th of this month.  Suddenly, I pick it up today and a message is across the front, “No Sim Card Installed”.  Well over an hour with AT&T support on the phone got me exactly nothing.  I was told I have to take the phone into a store.  In the meantime until I can get into a store location, I have no phone service at all.

This was my first experience with AT&T support and I was really let down.  I spoke with 3 different people and all asked the same scripted questions and gave the same scripted answers.  The first woman couldn’t seem to even read very well, so even that didn’t go well.

Is this the level of support, or total lack thereof, that I should expect going forward?

I figure that looking at accessories at an Alltel store (where I bought it) or something would be a good place to go, but they didn’t carry anything of the sort. So, I have an HTC Touch Pro smartphone and a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta that I’d like to install a cell phone mount in. Could [...]
