I bought an iphone today by adding a line to our plan and getting the upgrade and adding the iphone data plan to that line. I went to an ATT store today, and told them that I wanted to use the iphone on a different number that was on the same account, and use a regular media net phone on the newly added line. He told me that all I had to do was put the SIM card of the number I wanted to switch too in the iphone and connect it to itunes, once I did that everything would be automatically switched and it would not charge me for the data that I used on the new number, the data plan would just carry over and switch to my original number. I tried this and when I try to get on the web with my SIM card with my number it says that I don’t have a data plan. This SIM card is a 3g card and looks exactly the same as the one out of the iphone, so I don’t think it out of date. What should I do to get this to work?
