iPhone 3GS Cross-platform MMS not working…
I think my problem with my 3GS is with cross-platform picture messages. It seems like it's very hit or miss, and with Verizon, non-existant. I do not have any friends with AT&T, but when I was sent one in the Apple store, it worked. They switched out my phone with a new one, but I am still having problems. Here are my questions: 1. Has anybody had problems with their iPhone and cross-platform MMS? 2. Is there anything I can do to make it more stable? 3. I am paying for unlimited messaging...do you think AT&T will prorate my account since I am not able to fully use the service I am paying for because of a problem on their end.

iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS… iPhone 4G maybe?
Well, now that I am getting an iPhone in may, I need to decided which to buy. What are some big differences between the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS? Are these differences big enough to convince me to buy one over the other? Also, I hear rumors of an iPhone 4G. Anyone have any info?

Former AT&T client. Left the USA. Unlock my iPhone 3GS?
Hi, I bought my iPhone 3GS in California with At&T and an iPhone plan as I lived there for a few months. I left the USA one month ago back to France. I tried to use my iPhone with my local carrier, but cannot activate it, as it seems it is locked to work only with AT&T. I wonder if AT&T can help me unlock this phone to use it in France? I could provide any official document needed, like my papers from AT&T or proofs that I live in France. Edited: Actually I found that it is very unlikely and that I would need to do it through a third party carrier... I'm hating having paid for a phone I can't use. iPhone 3GS not able to send MMS/Contacts
Hello all. I am having an issue with my iPhone. I cannot send MMS pix/vids/contacts. I can receive just fine but they will not send for some reason. I have been to both AT&T and Apple and they have done all they can. They have run tests, re-provisioned the MMS, and even gave me a new SIM card. Apple is claiming they cannot give me a new phone because of water damage, which I understand. This problem began happening last week. The water damage occurred in September so I doubt there is any relation. With that being said, what should I do? I am running the latest software (3.1.3) so that's not the issue. And it is the latest carrier file (6.5) so I am stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Getting another iPhone scenario
I lost my iPhone 3GS last week in the snow 700 miles away and there is little chance that anyone will ever find it :( . I'm not elibilbe for upgrade until June 28th, 2010 and I really DON'T want to go that long without an iPhone. Here is what I'm thinking: There are 4 lines on our group 'family' account, none are eligible for upgrade, mine is the soonest on June 28th. However, one of the lines is out of contract (but not eligible for upgrade until July - go figure) and could be cancelled today if wanted. This is the Plan - 1. Add another line, making 5 lines total to get another iPhone 3GS at the lower $199 price with a new phone number. 2. After a few days, cancel the line that is out of contract (No early termination fee), so were back to 4 lines. Will still have the phone and the new iPhone. 3. Report my iPhone lost, explain to them that new line we just added doesn't want the new iPhone and would rather just use an old phone we have so I can have the new iPhone since I lost it. Have them take the data plan off new line and give me new sim card (since I lost it with the iPhone) and keep my existing data plan. WIll this work? Since the phone line we are cancelling is already out of contract there won't be a early termination fee. So if my math is right we will only be out the $199 + $26 to activate new line + maybe another $9.99 for adding 5th line for a brief amount of time. Also, is there a way we could get the cancelled line's phone number back after a few weeks for the new line. That's the only hangup I see is having to get a new phone number on that one line (it's my wife's, she's ok with it if I can get another iPhone at the lower price.) WIll it work? Any other suggestions?

Weak Wifi
My Iphone gps and wifi suddenly stopped working after over a year. I cannot run the moving maps application, I can only get located by cell tower triangulation, which is way off and too slow to keep up with a scrolling map. At the same time, my wifi is weak. I must be within a few feet of my router before it will notice the wifi and sign in. Then after 10 seconds or so, it goes weak again and stops working. My wife has an iphone and both her wifi and gps still work in the same locations mine won't work. Don't bother telling me to reset, or update, or check my settings and turn on location services. I have done all this stuff many times. I have OS 3.1.3. This is real problem that I found on another forum, not with AT&T. There are many people who have this same exact thing and are extremely frustrated, as am I, because noone will tell us what is wrong, and what to do about it. I may as well have a cheap flip phone if I can't have these two features. I am posting this on AT&T, hoping you all can apply some pressure on Apple, because your customers are getting ticked off. I have tolerated your puny coverage, because the Iphone is such a cool thing. But its not so cool if it doesn't work. If someone can't serve their customer a little better here, I see a Verizon Blackberry or something similar in my future. And I will take all my family plan with me. I am beginning to think that Apple is behaving like Toyota. Toyota is denying there is a problem, meanwhile people are dying because their car suddently accelerates, even after the floor matts are replaced. There is nothing that torques me more than behavior like this. I fork out big bucks and pay exhorbitant fees for an iphone, but noone will admit a problem because it might cost more than they want to be liable for. You get the big head because you have the most popular product. Well, remember what happened to the first Macintosh. Same attitudes, same comeuppance is on the way. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW TO FIX IT. No, don't tell me to send it in and have it diagnosed. They have seen the problem over and over again. Someone knows what is causing it, fess up and take care of your customer.

Question about call pictures
so in most commercials of the Iphone 3gs whenever a phone call is being made the contact picture is on the top right corner . However in my phone I can't seem to place the picture in that way, the picture is always full screen never on the top right side of the phone, is there a way I can change this?

Interested in ATT service for my new iPhone
Hi, I am a T-Mobile customer who just recently bought a iPhone 3G (as in own it, not subsidized). I have been using a 2G iPhone on T-Mobile for the past couple of months but its pretty much broken now so I had to buy a new one. I bought a 3G this time. I'm kinda upset because 3G doesn't work on T-Mobile due to their different bands, so I thought I'd give this a shot even though I'm quite certain ATT hates new customers, especially ones unwilling to get into a contract. I would like to bring my iPhone 3G to ATT and use it on ATT's 3G network without a contract and preferably without a credit check (because I have no credit). Is this possible? It sure is on T-Mobile. I've heard that if you don't have credit ATT requires a deposit, which is fine, but I am NOT interested in a contract or another iPhone. I already have my 3G, I just want to bring it to ATT and use it on their network and since they don't have any prepaid plans, I have to see what they do have.
