I have a 3g that I have had since Nov 08. Works perfect until about a month ago. I have had it most recently paired with my Jawbone Prime and when I first got it worked flawlessly. Once it was paired – when I would power it up the iPhone would connect and I could see the BT-indicator on the phone go from grey to blue.

 

About a month or so I noticed that when I would take the Jawbone off the charger and power it up – it wouldn’t connect. I opend the BT settings on the phone and it would show as paired but not connected. Touching the Jawbone BT under the list of devices causes it to search and after a few trys it will finally connect. I can usually get it to finally connect but each time I have to power the headset up then go into Settings —> BT and then tap the device name to “force” it to find it.

 

I thought maybe it was the headset – so I tried it with my Motorola H870 and once it paired and I powered it down and back up – Same thing! I would have to go to the BT Settings on the phone and tap the device (headset) name a few times to force it. So now I am thinking something is wrong with the phone? Maybe related to the update? I am running version 3.1.2 (7D11)

 

Any suggestions?
