The Microsoft Press Center currently offers a fun look at the back of the shade at a little of the people obliged for what Slate’s Farhad Manjoo not long ago called “the best-looking smartphone handling complement in the industry,” cornering 4 members of the Windows Phone engineering group for an eclectic, wide-
ranging Q&A on happiness, superpowers, and structure Windows Phone 7.5.
Even non-geeks should find it interesting.
The group—James Drage, Ricardo Espinoza, Josh Phillips, and Sue Loh—are partial of engineering’s Shell Team. As the name suggests, the Shell Team is obliged for constructing the phone’s award-winning interface: the things we see and hold on the screen. They take the prophesy of the phone’s designers, interpret it in to the denunciation of machines, and move it to life.
One of the most appropriate things about the job? The “Mom factor”.
Explains Drage: “You can uncover your Mom just what you’re operative on, and she’ll get it.”
