My Unopened/ iPhone 4 Upgrade was Stolen by UPS

Hey All,

 

So I am in kind of a predictament here. I currently have an iPhone 3GS and was elgible for an upgrade. So I upgraded over the phone via ATT Premier (its a business account) and paid for an iPhoen 4. Since I am in college I had it shipped to my house. My Dad got it, and took it to the UPS Store along with other things to ship to me in one package. He insured the package for up to $400.

 

Now, I got a package at my dorm yesterday and opened it up. All my college stuff is there (just a poster or two for my wall,) but no iPhone 4. I immediatley call my Dad and tell him the poster he shipped to me came in the box, but no iPhone 4. He drives to the UPS Store and flips out on them. He said he gave them the posters and the phone to put in the same box, but obviously the lady there pocketed the phone. There trying to tell us it isnt our fault and want to send a team to come investigate my box to see if it was tampered with.

 

Now, my question is this. I never received my iPhone 4. It is unopened, not activated, nothing. What can ATT or Apple do here to help me? Am I going to strcitly have to go through UPS, or can they track something?

Activation problems

I spoke to ATT and activated my upgraded phone (iphone 4) but my hone has not activated yet (3 hours). Can anyone help?

Hi I m new in america and as everyone likes iphone i bought an iphone 3gs over ebay and i was using it as ipod touch.i cant use it as iphone 1. I dont have a credit history so noone gives me a contract. 2. i cant afford 70$ right now.   because of the firmware upgrade. my cell phone is not activated anymore..i dont have the original sim from the original buyer or whatever i didnt even knew i needed to have a sim to use it as an ipod. The other person from whom i bought say he dont have a sim either he lost it ..   My only question which is very simple.( and i read all the forums abt it. and got contradicting info)    How can i use my iphone 3gs 32gb new firmware to activate and use it as an ipod touch. I dont have an att sim, i dont think i can get one coz i dont havee credit history.   Can i use att sim from someone else to just activate it? atleast i can use it as an ipod. and i was using it tht way till i upgraded. please someone with real knowledge or probably att employee help me out.. i also heard i can just go to att and they ll activate it for free even if i dont wanna buy att plan? is this true? please guide me. just wanna use it as an ipod :(

I have a brand new Iphone but no At&t contract.

My friend got me a new 3GS 16gb(white) but its not activated with atnt.   I was wondering, what if i go in there and get a new contract except at first i get a sony erc for free. ill get the 450 mins($39.99) and unlimted text($19.99) with it. then come a few days later and get them to activated it with my sim card. will they have to add the data plan, i really dont want it. most of the places im at have wifi. i think they can only add the data plan if i got the phone from them at a discount which i didnt.   or should i go open a new contract and just bring the phone with me?    i just dont want the data plan.
