So hey there guys I am new ATT customer since 9/16/2010. Since about 2 weeks I have been having problems with reception first I realized it was in my house and now its about 5-6 blocks away as weel!

I live in New York so basically today It was a great way for me to make sure this is just not my house , if there is anyone from New York so I visited other parts of Queens and then when I was getting back home I was trying to text someone which is like 5-6 or maybe even 7 blocks away from my House and I had full bars and was not able to send that text or even make a call.

In my house I either get 1 bar or “Searching…” with 1 bar I can never make a call or anything.

So I called ATT and the service rep told me to go to Apple and get a replacment phone is that guy serious? it works perfectly fine in other areas and I will go to apple and get new phone because the guy wont admit that there is problem with my area ?

Someone who can point in anyone direction on how to solve this please someone help =)

I like att services overall I am not complaining but I just want to get this resolved. THank you!

at&t mobile phones bad reception, bad reception on mobile phone, iPhone 4 bad reception screen protector

I ordered my iphone 4 today after my child dropped my old iphone and shattered the screen.  I’m not complaining though I can’t wait to receive the new one :-)   Question is does it really take 5 – 10 days for it to ship out?  I mean its august almost september I can’t imagin it is still that backed up with orders.  I ordered a pair of the reebok easytoners and they were supposedly on back order and it said 3 weeks until ship and I got them the next day?  I’m hoping this is the same situation.  Any comments?

I live in California, I bought my iPhone4 from AT&T. On my credit card they charged 299.00, on my first bill since I got the iPhone I was charged my $18.00 upgrade fee. But I was never charged my taxes on the iPhone.   Im not complaining, but more curious where everyone else saw their tax charge.   So where did you guys see it? How much was it? And what state are you in?

I’m a little confused on how AT&T determines if someone is eligible for upgrade. I’ve read on this forum that people are having to wait 2 years to be eligible to upgrade. I only waited 1 year to upgrade from my 3G to the 3GS and I’m eligible again to upgrade in 1 year. I have a family plan with 5 lines and pay around $200.00 a month, so do you think I’m considered a top tier customer to be getting this kind of special treatment from AT&T? On my other lines, I have to wait 18 months before I’m eligible to upgrade phones, so I’m not sure why iPhones are different. I’m not complaining at all, but I’m just curious why I’m getting special treatment.
