IPhone 4 symbols.  I wish they would have manuals for these..lol.  My hubby has a symbol by his battery symbol it is like a circle with a lock in in.  Any ideas as how to take that off?  Also his phone vibrates…but the other sound notifications don’t work.  Speakers still work..settings seem ok…I just don’t knoe how to get his ringtones to work again.  Mine vibrates & rings…that is the way I want his too.  Thank you !!!

I haven’t tired any but I love apple/citris flavor things.

Some I’ve heard of include: Bacardii big apple, Smirnoff twisted green apple, apple pucker (to weak), and other citris ones.

Duplicate Calendar Meeting and Notifications

I currently use my Iphone with my company’s exchange email.  The default calendar on the Iphone is exchange.   When I make an entry on my desktop Outlook 2007, two entries will appear on the iphone, one with a red dot and one with a blue dot.  Not sure why I am showing two entries.  Anyone know why I display two entries?  I want my Iphone calender and Outlook on my desktop to be sync’d.   At the same time since I have two entries on my iphone I receive duplicate calendar alerts but I only want one.  I figured once I can resolve the first issue the second one should be fixed as well.   Thanks, Jim

Facebook App Shuts Down?

I know this might be an App issue, but I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. If I go to FB on my iPhone 4, it looks like it’s loading and then it shuts down and goes to my home screen. No matter if it’s loading new posts or if try to go to the notifications screen, it shuts down after about 5-10 seconds. My husbands iPhone 4 is doing it too. I haven’t updated anything and it was working fine earlier today. Any ideas what’s going on? Thanks

Had to restore my Iphone 3G while overseas, now it has be registered as a SingTel user (Singapore)

Okay, so I have been out of the country since March, living and working in Singapore.  I have a US based Iphone 3G on Att Service.  I have been turning my iphone on everynow and then just to recieve voicemail notifications etc.  well, I just had to do a complete reset of the phone, and when it turns on now since i have to sync it with the sim card in, it syncs showing i have a SingTel Sim Card (Singapore Mobile Carrier).  Now I tried to call my voicemail via skype and it told me that the Sing Tel user is unavailable.  Help me please.

iPhone 3GS no ringtones

I bought an iPhone 3GS on Friday, July 9, 2010, and didn’t notice but there are no ring notifications.  No speakerphone, and no preview of ringtones.  The mute button is not flipped, the volume is turned up, I’ve plugged and unplugged a set of headphones, and restored the phone to default.  It came installed with iOS4.  Compared to my wife’s 3G, I see no “Notifications” selection in Settings, and when I select a ringtone from the default ones that came on the phone, no sound comes out.  Anyone have a clue what is going on?

How often do I get e-mail notifications?

The guy who ordered my iPhone 4 at the AT&T store said that I would get an e-mail and a phone call when it arrives in the store; however, I’m wondering if I get any other notifications?  The reason I’m asking this is because I think he typed my e-mail in wrong.  Was I supposed to get an order confirmation e-mail to tell me that an order was placed?     Also, do I get an e-mail with the tracking information when it leaves the warehouse?

Battery issues over the past few days

Has anyone else noticed their batteries draining a lot faster than normal?  All the phones on our corporate plan are having this issue.    I called tech support and they wanted to replace all 20 of our phones because battery issues are “hardware issues”   I have spoken with friends in different regions who have similar problems.  The only thing that seems to solve the quick drain (less than 5 hrs) of our batteries is to turn off push notifications.   If you are having a similar issue, please respond to this post.  AT&T has put my ticket on the shelf and won’t look at it because they aren’t getting any other complaints.    Thanks!

Now that I’m just using my iphone for a music player and games, I went ahead and turned Notifications off and even deleted the internet-based apps (Facebook, NY Times, etc.) Will I be okay, meaning when my next bill comes it won’t be $5,000 worth of data charges because my iPhone was using data without an Unlimited plan?   What I’m asking in a nutshell is, am I safe from data charges as long as I do NOT access Safari and internet-based apps???   Thanks for your help & answers.

Is there any way to download more sounds than the ones on the iphone 3gs?  My husband has one and it’s getting irritating to hear the same old sounds going off for text messages, email, etc.  Thank u!

iPhone Voicemail Notifications

As of 12/30, I stopped receiving voicmail notifications on the iPhone. I can still get to my VM by dialing the mailbox directly, but I miss the automatic notification. Calling AT&T they directed me to delete my messages, but it’s still not working.
