Possible hearing aid interference affecting dropped calls
Quick note to hearing impared. I have found that if I use the speakerphone feature on my 3Gs I GREATLY reduce the number of dropped calls when I call from my home in a semi fringe area. Very unscientific but the results don't lie. My hearing aid is bluetooth enabled (I can answer calls through my hearing aid, how cool is that!) and I'm not sure if that is part of the issue. If you have dropped call issues and have a hearing aid... try it. CB

Caller ID
When someone calls from a number that isn't blocked the number shows up as it should. Is there a way to see the billing name associated with the number if I don't recognize it?

Yahoo IM app.
Hello..I am going to just use the yahoo IM app for the Iphone to IM my friends on their cells...so far,no issues,BUT 2 of my friends...one is ATT customer,not sure who the other has...well,when i try to IM their phones,it tells me that the number is either formatted wrong (think thats what it says,lol,something LIKE that anyway) or that their carrier does not support what I am trying to do.I have texted them BOTH before through regular text...any thoughts on why I ma getting this error message?? Videos not appearing in Camera Roll
Hello, I'm new to the forum and I recently noticed this problem with my iPhone 3G. My friend sent me a couple of videos to me via mms message and I wanted to save them. I press save and when I go into photos, the preview window shows a thumbnail of my videos and the number of pips/videos has increased but the videos are nowhere to be found. Anyone else having this problem and know of a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can’t receive texts from only sprint
So back on October 31, 2009 I ported my number from Sprint to AT&T for the iPhone 3GS. When I did, I had issues receiving texts and calls from sprint customers only. AT&T resolved the issue. Now a couple days ago, all of a sudden I am no longer able to receive texts from Sprint customers only. I've tried numerous sprint phones and I did not receive texts from any of them. I had the sprint phones text me dad's phone and brother's phone (both on AT&T) and they successfully received them. So it seems that only my number can't receive texts from sprint customers. I am able to receive from verizon, tmobile and at&t. I have been on the phone with at&t tech support/porting department. They have checked every setting and even had me get a new SIM card. Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas what to do?

Terminating iPhone contract. :(
I'm spending more money on my phone than what I need, so I want to terminate my contract, but I still want to be able to listen to music and podcasts. :( If I cancel my phone contract, will I still be able to use my phone for music and maybe wifi? And also, if I decide to get a pay-as-you-go phone, will I be able to transfer the number from my current phone onto the new phone, as well as contacts? I don't know if this other question is okay to be asked in this forum but, with a pay-as-you-go phone, there's a plan that allows you to pay only 3$ for every day you use it, does that also include text messages? I searched all over the site for info on that but I'm not able to find anything. :( thanks.

Any Way To Block Texts (But Not Calls) From A Certain Number?
I have an iPhone 3GS and I know I can use Smart Limits to block the number from contacting me completely, but is there any way to JUST block text messages from this number while still allowing texts from other numbers to come through?

Ported number from Verizon; how long until my Verizon contract will be cancelled?
All, I bought an iPhone and ported my number from Verizon yesterday (Thursday, January 14, 2010). Just curious as to how long it normally takes for my Verizon service to be terminated when a number is ported FROM Verizon TO another carrier. I could still log onto my Verizon account this morning, but perhaps I haven't waited long enough. Thanks! Also... on that note, if I wanted to sell my old phone (which happens to be the Motorola Droid, ha), how would I go about doing that? Does porting the number/canceling my Verizon contract for that phone mean I can sell it to someone and she can go to the Verizon store and open a contract with it? Thanks! -ZBF
