I went to Radio Shack currently anticipating to ascent my iPhone 3G to a 4.  Everything was starting fine, until assistant pronounced I’ve never seen this summary – says we can’t ascent due to extreme out of network useage.  No a single there accepted it, so I called AT&T.   They told me it was correct, I was inelgible for an upgrade.  They claimed I had too many calls which were off network.  I explained which I used my cell phone essentially as a commercial operation phone from my home – I’m self employed.  Plus my phone regularly says “AT&T” on the shade and I’d never had any information exchnage from AT&T revelation me my operate settlement was starting to stroke my ascent elegibility.  I asked 2 seperate patron operate reps if this process could be waived, given which I had been an AT&T Wirelelss patron given Sept 2006 and my stream devise was good past the 2 year cut off.  No dice.  They told me no a single at AT&T could sanction me for an upgrade!   I forked out which I was profitable AT&T scarcely $1,000/year in fees for my iPhone voice and interpretation skeleton and asked if they were peaceful to remove me as a customer.  Didn’t proviso them.  Their only suggest was to put an focus on my phone which would discuss it me privately when I was regulating out of network service.  I explained this isn’t starting to assistance me given many of my mobile operate is from my home – I’m not starting to pierce only to meet some AT&T policy.  Plus I forked out their online coverage map still shows my home as being inside of their coverage area.  But they were not starting to concede with me, no make a difference what I said.    So, AT&T, this is interjection I get for steady with you.  Well, I theory we leave me no choice.  I’ll be selling for a phone on an additional network.  Too bad – I was rebuilt to pointer an additional 2 year stipulate with we today, though we blew it.   One Very Unhappy Customer
