transferring iPhone calendar and contacts to PC

My PC was recently repaired and I lost all my data on Outlook 2003. I thought it would be easy to sync data from iPhone 3g, but it didn't work :-(  I tried to sync through iTunes, telling it to replace data on PC, NOT iPhone!, but Outlook is still blank! Any suggestions? Thanks!

MobileMe question

I'm trying out MobileMe for 60 days and have it set up on my computer for synching, etc. with Outlook. I'm getting a "dotmacsynchclient has stopped working" error message every time I turn on the PC, and every so often while I'm on it. I'm pretty sure this is tied to my Outlook program as its been acting up lately (not sending and receiving, not retaining my passwords so I have to put them in every time, thereby not being able to work automatically), so its probably not synching with the MobilMe program correctly either. I've tried for several days to get Outlook to work correctly, to no avail. I'm thinking I could shut down Outlook altogether and no longer associate MobileMe with it but I wonder what limitations that would put on the MobilMe program, if any. Do I need Outlook to operate MobileMe, or can I use the program without it? Thanks in advance.

Need help with iPhone & Verizon EMail + Outlook 2007

I have an iPhone 3G.  I also have a Verizon email account, which I check on my PC with Outlook 2007.   I am able to send & receive message via the iPhone 3G, but here are my questions / issues:   1)  I would like to setup that if I my PC is off and my Outlook 2007 isn't running, and I see an email come-in on my iPhone that I want permenantly DELETED (such as junk mail) --- is there any way that I can have it deleted from the server so that when I start-up Outllok 2007 on my PC, it's not going to show up there at all?   I have set-up on my iPhone "Delete from server when removed from Inbox", but I still get the "deleted" email into my Outlook 2007 "Inbox" when it starts-up on my PC .  Am I missing something?   2) When I reply to an email via my iPhone 3G, is there any way for that email to somehow end-up in the "Sent Items" on my Outlook 2007 on my PC?  I know I can reply with a BCC to myself but I'm wondering if there is any way to "sync" those replies into my Outlook 2007.

contact info has disappeared from iPhone!

I just found that contact info is missing from my iPhone! When I click on "favorites", the numbers are there, but there is no name associated with them. When I click on contacts, the names are there, but there is no other data! Any idea how that could have happened? I have not checked data on PC yet, but I have not done a recent iTunes sync. However, I am using MobileMe. Could my data be gone???   If the data is still on PC and I sync with Outlook, will the missing data on the phone overwrite the data on Outlook, or will it be restored to the phone?   Thanks! This is scary!

Pulling my hair out over Exchange account!

Ok, I am an iPhone newbie but I know this shouldnt be this hard! I've been at this for endless hours now and still get a "cannot get mail...connection failed" when I create an Exchange account. I did get this to work once and was getting mail, calendar, folders. I had 'Contacts' set off so i went back in and turned it on (since most of my contacts are in Outlook). Once I did that the contacts worked, but then everything else failed....it just went downhill from there. I even sat down with a coworker that had his email setup on an iPhone and walked through the whole process with the same settings and I still can't connect. I think I reached the end of the Internet with my searches on fixes. Here are the email: jdoe@companyname.com domain : [blank! coworkers was blank and when it worked this was left blank. i also tried to value it as well ] User:  jdoe Password: mypassword Description:  jdoe@companyname.com Server: exchange.companyname.com note: webmail is https:\exchange.companyname.comexchange Message: "Unable to Verify Certificate - The certificate from for account could not be verified". Click 'Accept' Click 'Next' Message: "The account may not be able to send or recieve emails. Are you sure you ant to save?" Click Save Mail = ON Contacts = ON Calendars = ON Click Done I verified that SSL was ON Click on the mailbox and get "cannot get mail. the connection to the server failed". Any help is appreciated!!

Dialing Phone Numbers With Extensions

I have an iPhone 3Gs and sync contact data with my firm's Exchange server. Outlook contacts put the contact's extension at the end of the telephone number, preceded by an "x". When I dial a number with an x and extension on my iPhone, ATT interprets this as an international number.    I searched the forum, but didn't find a solution.   Is there a solution to this problem, other than deleting extensions from my Outlook contacts?

Cannot sync user-created email folders

In an effort to organize the huge volume of client emails, I set up a folder in Outlook called "Client Files" and created numerous subfiles for each client.  At least once a week I move various emails into the correct client subfiles.  All Outlook files, including the subfiles, are automatically kept on an Exchange server and are remotely available via Citrix, etc.   The emails in the client subfiles could be viewed on my old BB 8600c by going to the "View Folders" tab, selecting the correct client subfile, and then scrolling through the emails.  Now some of the client subfiles don't show up on the 3GS at all, while others show up empty.  The regular Inbox and Sent folders sync wirelessly fine.  Exchange administrators, who owns a 3GS, says it is an Apple issue.  I wonder ...   Any ideas?

I don’t need a WM device anymore.

I no longer need the windows applications, but have a question:  Will the iphone and my laptop sync my calendar and contacts?  Presently I use MS Office 2007 on my laptop with Outlook for my calendar and contacts.  What do you use on an iPhone, if anything.
