After being militantly anti-Apple for a long time, I’ve finally decided to get an iPhone 4. I plan on going to an AT&T store and getting the iPhone using my mom’s upgrade, then getting it put on my line (we are on a family plan together). Should there be any problems with this?

Answers are appreciated. I just want to know whether or not I should expect to run into complications.
So… I’m basically a technology freak who’s in to all sorts of gadgets of stuff… I’m currently with T-Mobile and have a number of excellent devices (Nexus One, N900, Touch Pro 2, etc.) and after waiting all this time I finally feel like the iPhone has had enough of an upgrade to warrant very deep interest… so I’ve been on the fence about purchasing one… and if i decide to I’ll be holding off until the white one is out (heard it won’t be around till late July) so I’ve got time. My main issue is being able to buy one off contract… I have no intention of being binded with any two year agreements at all. If I go about doing this I plan on keeping my (off contract) T-Mobile account active along with the AT&T one… but will that fly with the higher ups? I’m also with a company that offers a 25% employee discount program which I plan on taking advantage of as well. Hope I explained myself well enough. Thanks to all that can help  P.S. I only plan on going with the standard 450/Unlimited Data… texting isnt a must but if the price isnt too low ill go with that too  P.P.S. I doubt they do this but If a data only iPhone is possible what are the details on that?  Thanks again!
So I ordered an iPhone 4 for my girlfriend, but AT&T also sent me an extra iPhone 4; it is set up as an additional line on my account, which I don’t need nor want. I plan on going to AT&T this evening to cancel that additional line, and hopefully set up this extra phone as my early upgrade (they charged me $199 for this “additional line”, so I’m obviously willing to fork over the $200 to meet my $399 early upgrade price). Does anyone with knowledge of how AT&T works know if they will do this for me???
I think that the best way to get an iPhone 4 with all the problems would be to just wait until June 24th to buy it. This is what I am doing. The stores are going to have iPhones to sell at the store. If you live in a small type of city like I do I don’t think going through all this trouble is worth it because you can just wait in line for a little bit and not go through this trouble. I plan on going the day of to buy instead of going through AT&T and Apple’s mess ups.
