Hey guys. I’ll keep it short and sweet. I have an iPhone 4 and my dad wants one. I want to add a line. The catch is, I still have my unlimited data plan from my 3G and really want to keep it. But whenever I go in and edit the rate plan on my second line (dad’s future phone which I have yet to order), it puts the 2GB Personal Data Plan on BOTH of our phones (it says ADD-ON on mine). 1. Is this overwriting my unlimited data? 2. Is there any way we can share unlimited data? If not, fine. He’ll never go over 2GB but I could so I definitely want unlimited to stay on mine if possible. 3. Should I just call ATT so I don’t accidentally screw up my unlimited data? Thanks for the help.

Finally found a place with iPhone 4 and got one but when the CSR was fixing everything she told me that I have to switch data plans from my unlimited on my Blackberry.  I told her this was not AT&T’s police and I should be able to keep my unlimited data plan.  She wouldn’t budge so I asked to speak to the manager.  He comes out and proceeds to tell me the data plan codes do not match up and I will have to select a new one if I wanted to get the iPhone.  I selected a new one so does that mean I am stuck with it now or can I call somebody to get this straightened out?

So I am considering purchasing an iPhone.  My family currently has a family plan with AT&T.  I have a blackberry and we some other type of phone something like a blackberry (Palm or something) and just a normal cell phone.  If I was to buy a iPhone would I need to start paying for another data plan specific to the iPhone or will my family plan work?  Does it take a seperate catergory of minutes, texts, data, etc for the iPhone or will it act like just another phone when added to our family plan?  I had heard you have to get a totally seperate plan.   Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
