iPhone 3GS Cross-platform MMS not working…

I think my problem with my 3GS is with cross-platform picture messages.  It seems like it's very hit or miss, and with Verizon, non-existant.  I do not have any friends with AT&T, but when I was sent one in the Apple store, it worked.  They switched out my phone with a new one, but I am still having problems.  Here are my questions:   1.  Has anybody had problems with their iPhone and cross-platform MMS?   2.  Is there anything I can do to make it more stable?   3.  I am paying for unlimited messaging...do you think AT&T will prorate my account since I am not able to fully use the service I am paying for because of a problem on their end.

iPhone 3GS not able to send MMS/Contacts

Hello all. I am having an issue with my iPhone. I cannot send MMS pix/vids/contacts. I can receive just fine but they will not send for some reason. I have been to both AT&T and Apple and they have done all they can. They have run tests, re-provisioned the MMS, and even gave me a new SIM card. Apple is claiming they cannot give me a new phone because of water damage, which I understand. This problem began happening last week. The water damage occurred in September so I doubt there is any relation. With that being said, what should I do? I am running the latest software (3.1.3) so that's not the issue. And it is the latest carrier file (6.5) so I am stuck.    Any suggestions?   Thanks in advance!

Heating up

I've had the 3GS for several months now and only recently experienced this problem and only with two downloadeed apps. Both the apps are GPS oriented. The first time I used Trails it was only for the 25 minute drive to work. The phone became noticeably hot to the touch and it drained about 40% of the batterey. Used it a couple more times with the same results. By the way, the app is great, but I can't see it being very useful for an extended period of time. The other app is Spyglass. Same results. What would make these app suck battery and overheat the phone?

Iphone forwarding picture with audio file in mms

Im just wondering if anyone else is having this problem or knows a way to fix this.  I receive txt messages with pictures and audio files in them.  When I try to forward a picture with an audio file the forward button goes gray.  I can send multiple pictures just fine but when I try to to send an audio file along with a pic it wont let me.  I also can't send multiple audio files.  I contacted AT&T about this and they said they it may be something to do with Apple and of course Apple said it is something to do with AT&T.  I got the typical run around.  I know the files aren't too big because the audio files are les than 25kbs.  And the pics are big files either.  I know the max u can send out is like 700kbs.  Neways, is anyone else having this problem?  Please let me know.  Thanks!

Straight to voicemail?

Hello,   It has recently been brought to my attention by friends that my phone goes directly to voicemail sometimes.   I do not understand why it does this as I am pretty sure I've got adequate reception and whatnot. The phone does not ring/vibrate, nor does it show that I have any missed calls. They say it just goes straight to voicemail. Other times, it works just fine.   Does anyone know what causes this or any remedies to this problem?     Thanks.

Can’t access to some websites

I just had an almost 1 hour online chat with AT&T, but they couldn't solve my problem.   There are a few sites that I can't open with Safari on my iPhone.  I can with Wi-Fi, but not with 3G.  I went to Apple store yesterday and was told that AT&T is blocking these sites, but today AT&T tells me to call Apple 800 number.  This is exactly the problem I have and I tried 3 things that are mentioned here.  http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-10115258-233.html?tag=mncol;txt#comments Turning on and off airplane mode seemed to work once.  I had an access to the sites for a few days and it went back to not accessable again.   Are there anyones who has a same issue, or any advices?

Invalid Response from iPhone in iTunes

Hi!   I'm a new member and am happy to have found these boards.    I just bought a new iPhone 32 3GS and put my older sim card in it so I could keep my number. I had already logged into iTunes just before my daughter switched the cards. iTunes stopped recognizing the phone was plugged in. I never got to register the phone officially.    My other iPhone is registered on iTunes. But the new one is not. I asked iTunes Support for help, but they say they aren't tech oriented and can't help. Which makes no sense to me at all. But, I went to the AT&T site looking to see if I could find an answer before trying to call them. Found the forum, and a partial fix. Hopeful, I called my daughter who I gave the old phone to, and told her what I had found. So we tried that (turning off both phones and restarting) and that seemed to work.   I was able to get on iTunes and upgrade the OS and download my apps. But then, during the transfer, an error box popped up and said it couldn't continue because the phone had given an invalid response. Doesn't, of course, give a clue as to what the invalid response was, or what it means. But once again, my iPhone is blocked from iTunes. It's like the program doesn't know what to do with a new phone connected with an old number. I'm bummed especially because I want my music badly!   I've decided that if I have to, and if it solves my problem, I'll give up my old number and get the sim card back from my daughter. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice? I'm afraid that I may have messed things up so that I might have trouble still if I do use the new card.   Thanks!    NeenahDee
