Some odd cases have turned up for the iPhone 4 and 4S called the Holga case. These cases have a wheel over the lens with different filters to make artistic images with your iPhone.

Game developer Mobile Pie in the UK says that its in-app payment games have been hacked. The hack uses something called iAP Cracker and allows the download of virtual in-app purchases at no cost.

IDAPT i4 charger review, Samsung demands to see iPhone 5, AT&T questions about T-Mobile purchase

SlashGear reviewed the IDAPT i4 universal charging station last week. This device has three spots that can hold chargers for the iPhone and other gear to allow charging of several devices at once. Samsung’s legal department has asked the courts to force Apple to give it early access to the iPhone 5. This comes after [...]

Hi all, I’ve read the following link on upgrading swapping, but I have slightly different circumstances:   http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/articles-resources/iphone4upgradesupport.jsp   Me and my mom are part of a 4 person family plan. I’m not eligible for an upgrade, but she is. I was hoping to use her upgrade to get the iPhone 4 at Radio Shack this week because it’s $50 off. Now as I understand it, Radio Shack activates the phone during the purchase, so the SIM will get locked to her number.   What are my options in this case? Can I take the phone to an AT&T store and get a replacement microsim with my number?Another thing to mention is that I live away from my mom, but both of us are authorized to make changes on the family plan.   As soon as the iPhone is activated, I assume she will lose service on her old RAZR? What’s the step for getting that phone working again? Will the sim reactivate once I get a new microsim, or will she have to get a new sim as well?   Also, are replacement sims free? I’ve heard differing answers, some say you can just go in and ask for a replacement sim for any reason and they’ll give it to you, while I’ve heard others report charges ranging from $15 to $30.

While apple is still advertising “Get a refund for your iphone 4 bumper purchase” and “If you bought from an AT&T store we’ll reimburse you for the purchase price of your iphone 4 Bumper.” Don’t expect them to process your claim.   Apple sent me this note today regarding my $29 bumper purchase at an ATT wireless store: The rebate offer in question is only for the Apple iPhone 4 Bumper . Your receipt indicates that you purchased a case made by a company other than Apple and are not eligible for this rebate.   Well played Mr. Jobs!!   You’re correct! I purchased an “Apple iPhone 4 Bumper” not an “Apple” “Apple iphone 4 bumper” – please accept my humble apology - my mistake.   Apparently I had to have an Apple Apple bumper which was not available at the time of my purchase in order to get a refund. One of the reasons Mr.. Jobs cited for the ‘problem’ was that the design was so new that they were unable to distribute a sufficient number of Apple bumpers. He went on to say that had the bumper been available that people would have purchased them and there would not have been a ‘problem’. He also said that they would refund bumpers/cases up to a certain dollar amount (~$29) for those persons that already purchased one (i.e.. Me) with no further qualifications. Did he say “Apple iPhone 4 bumpers” or “Apple Apple iPhone 4 bumpers”? I can’t remember.   In summary, I would be eligible for a rebate if I had purchased an Apple branded bumper, that wasn’t available at the time I purchased my Apple iphone 4, when I purchased my Apple iphone 4.  Feel free to read that last sentence over and over – it makes absolutely no sense but that is what Apple will accept as a valid claim.   If you fall into the same category as me you better hurry…..you only have until August 22 to apply for your rejection letter.   Just in case the double talk and false promises aren’t fishy enough – the PDF refund form that is available for download today at the apple website is “version 3″. I’m not saying I filled out version 1 or 2 – I’m just saying I don’t recall any section that required me to place a check mark next to the Apple branded bumper I had purchased.   We’ll see if they honor my request to return the original application AND my original receipt.

I added a line to our current family talk plan and chose the iPhone 4 and now see the wait is 7 to 14 business days. I have no problem with the wait. The issue is that if that we will be leaving town on the 5th of August. If the order does process and ship in 7 days I should get the phone before leaving but looking at the trend this is highly unlikely to happen. Most likely the order will process while I am gone and of course there would be nobody here to receive it. Does anyone know if its possible to change the shipping address on the pending order? If I add the address at which I will be during that period to the credit card being used for the purchase, will ATT be able to ship to that location?

I see a lot of negativity here about people who seem to be generally unhappy with their iPhone 4.    My iPhone has been great, and gets service where my previous 3G didn’t get service at all. Great phone, and I am definitely happy with my purchase.    So far I bought the following accessories for my iPhone:   iPhone 4 Lime-Green bumper case from Apple.com (It does help with that pesky signal issue :D ) Motorola H720 Bluetooth headset – Was really worth the purchase as I only have to flip the bluetooth headset open to answer the call. iPhone 4 Dock – for when I am sitting at my computer So far I am happy with AT&T service here in Phoenix, and the service has been a lot better than my old T-Mobile service has been. I even get service near the Grand Canyon.

Hi,   Has anybody purchased iphone 4  from AT&T website or store using AT&T universal card?   Does this purchase qualify for the 5% statement credit from the credit card company?   Can anybody tell how the transaction appears on the any credit card statement when the iphone is bought from at&t website or store?   Is the txn from at&t or is it from apple?   Really appreciate if anybody can reply?   Thanks.

I just checked recent activity on my Visa. The order confirmation I received from AT&T states:   ” As a reminder, we authorized the funds to cover your purchase when the order was placed. However, your credit card will not be charged until the order is shipped.”   There is nothing showing as far as a hold or funds authorization, but the Apple Care Plan I purchased at the time I ordered has already posted to my account. Does this seem like a good sign?   If I had thought that there could be a long shipping delay when I ordered, I might have waited to purchase the Plan. It will not be activated until my new phone is activated, will it?

So I purchased a 3gs on 6/6 to lock-in the unlimited data — watched steve and the gang present the new iphone on 6/7 while i salivated — then walked into the store on 6/15 to start the exchange process.  While I was waiting (around 3:30pm EST), I hear a loud groan from one of the sales rep and all the other sales rep huddle around him and they discuss some error message on the screen.  Then they start telling people that their orders would have to be completed on pad and paper because of system overload.  I didn’t think anything of it and got a hand-written, carbon receipt for my purchase and left the store.   At this point, I have not heard anything from AT&T and my credit card has NOT been charged.  My concern is not being able to get the iPhone 4 in time to do the exchange.  Seeing that preorders are still suspended on AT&T and Apple store giving mid to late-July ship dates for new orders, don’t give me much hope.   QUESTIONS FOR AT&T…. 1) Do you have a plan to take care of customers that are trying to exchange their phones and stay within 30 days?  Will you make special exceptions for those that can’t the new phone due to supply, as long as we start the exchange process before then?   2) Do you have a plan to deal with the manual orders and get them into the system at some point?   Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi!
