I’m tired of my slide phone (Samsung A737) -It’s an awesome phone, but I’m ready to upgrade to a full keypad and touch screen. I am not interested in paying $30+ each month for 1/3 speed of DSL internet. Before I get into a research spree, anybody know of ways to get free internet on your phone? Does the phone model matter?

Spare me with the “that’s illegal” jargon, I’ll give you a low rating and continue downloading movies and music in your name so scurry off elsewhere prudes.

Thanks to all the geekies that help me out or point me in the right direction :)

Phone Cards

Hello, I have a question.  We currently have verizon and are switching to ATT when we get our 2 new Iphones.  I plan on preordering tomorrow from apple and having the phone shipped to my door on the 24th.  How exactly will Apple know if I’m going to sign a contract with ATT or not.. Will I have to pay the full price first and then be credited once I sign 2yr contract into ATT or should I sign contract before? I’m a little confused.  I’d also like to keep my current number so how exactly will this work?  If someone could help me out or point me in the right direction I’d really appreciate it.  I probably should wait to cancel with verizon until I sign contract with ATT to ensure the numbers will be available to change over correct?   Thanks :)

So, I misplaced my iPhone 3G today.  Of course I have been searching all over the place trying to find a way to locate it without having to report it lost or stolen.  If I choose the option to report it and it is completely turned off, how will I ever have the chance of finding it? If it is deactivated, how do I call it to try to locate it?  I really do not want to choose that option until I am positive that it is not in my car, house, office, etc.   I know it wasn’t stolen so it defeats the purpose of trying to find it if it is completely disabled.  With today’s technology, I am having a hard time understanding why I can’t call Apple or At&t and have them access the settings to turn on the ringer if it is set to vibrate or enable the GPS if it is turned off.  I also do not understand why I can’t remotely access the phone utilizing iTunes or my At&t account.   I know, my bad for not buying the MobileMe service; however, if this is such a “Smartphone”, why wasn’t there something built in to locate it – prior to the MobileMe app?   I am sure there are a lot of people out there like me – I didn’t expect to misplace the phone so why would I even think, or know about all the “find me” apps that I have come across in the gigantic waste of time and resources.   Believe me, if there is an Iphone guru who has some magical words of wisdom, I am more than willing to take some good advice. If push comes to shove and I don’t come across it tomorrow, I’ll report it and lay down the coin for a new one.  My life is in that little box of knowledge and at this point, I am not ready to give that up.   Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Someone please lead me in the right direction.

Select a different connection and try again.” I tried reinstalling activesync , but the same pop up comes up. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe a registry thing on the phone? Thanks in advance.
