Can’t receive texts from only sprint
So back on October 31, 2009 I ported my number from Sprint to AT&T for the iPhone 3GS. When I did, I had issues receiving texts and calls from sprint customers only. AT&T resolved the issue. Now a couple days ago, all of a sudden I am no longer able to receive texts from Sprint customers only. I've tried numerous sprint phones and I did not receive texts from any of them. I had the sprint phones text me dad's phone and brother's phone (both on AT&T) and they successfully received them. So it seems that only my number can't receive texts from sprint customers. I am able to receive from verizon, tmobile and at&t. I have been on the phone with at&t tech support/porting department. They have checked every setting and even had me get a new SIM card. Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas what to do?

iPhone Family Data Plans? Not… YET…
I've searched the web for any information on this, and even called AT&T to find out if they're ever going to offer an iPhone family data plan at a slightly discounted rate for families with 2 or more iPhones. Just as an example, if my Wife, and I were both to get iPhones, use our current rate plan, add the iPhone data plan, and select unlimited texting for families, our bill would be $150 bucks. Sprint currently is the only company that offers a family Data plan, and their Data plan includes messaging, data, and more minutes than our AT&T plan would, and costs $130 bucks a month, and could be used with any of their Android phones, which are about as close to an iPhone as folks are gonna get on Sprint for a while (They're actually similar in almost all respects, and in fact have a few advantages over the iPhone, just as the iPhone has a few advantages over them...). In the areas I'm in, I'd be getting about equal coverage from AT&T and Sprint, however, it would obviously be easier to just stick with AT&T, but saving money always trumps easy in my book. The AT&T rep I spoke with last time about this was very clear to say that they did not have an iPhone Family Data plan "Yet", and in fact repeated "Yet" a few times, which would lead one to believe that one is in the pipeline at least. With other providers offering a shared Data plan for their phones that are similar in many respects, and less expensive than the iPhone, I would think that it would be natural for AT&T to come out with something like this as far as rate plans are concerned, to stay competitive, and give people reasons to stick with them. However, natural, and logical don't always apply when you're talking about things like this. Now if they DO have a Family Data Plan for iPhone in the pipleline, you would think they'd want folks to know about it, especially with Verizon, and Sprint's Android marketing blitz. Although it seems Verizon lacks the family Data plan as well, but offers 2 versions of their data plan. Verizon's pricing would be very similar to AT&T's if we were to go with the Droid, and the phones would cost less up front. In any case... has anyone heard, or read anything about AT&T at some point offering a Family Data plan for the iPhone? If not... is there anything going on to request one from them? Thanks for reading, and any input you could provide!

To Wirelessforeman re iPhone tethering
Please explain why the Apple iPhone web site promotes AT&T iPhone tethering (though in very small print Apple disclaims its availability). When I bought my iPhone in August I did not catch the Apple web site fine print. Why do you allow your technology partner to promote a feature AT&T will support? Sprint has a data plan and phones that tether. I now wish I had never switched from my Sprint HTC Touch to the AT&T iPhone.
