I was going to buy the iphone 4 for myself and give my old iPhone 3G to my friend. I know that he would have to start paying the monthly fee, but would it reset his 2 year contract? And could I do all this via online or do we have to go to the store? Anything else I need to know? Thanks a lot! :]

So I am considering purchasing an iPhone. My family currently has a family plan with AT&T. I have a blackberry and we some other type of phone something like a blackberry (Palm or something) and just a normal cell phone. If I was to buy a iPhone would I need to start paying for another data plan specific to the iPhone or will my family plan work? Does it take a seperate catergory of minutes, texts, data, etc for the iPhone or will it act like just another phone when added to our family plan? I had heard you have to get a totally seperate plan.  Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
