I called AT&T sales to see about my iphone that I placed at 6AM and the lady said we have inventory so you should get email with tracking within 24 hours is this too good to be true?
On May 1, 2010, I went to an AT&T store in Queens Mall, Elmhurst, NY to become a new AT&T customer. Before signing a contract I asked AT&T personnel there questions regarding the iPhone prices, models, contract, etc. One specific question that I asked was: “As I travel overseas often, can I have the iPhone unlocked so that I can use a local SIM card wherever I am going without jailbreaking the iPhone and voiding my warranty and without using any roaming service?” They said yes and for me just to call customer service and they will help me to unlock the phone. Just for good measure I also called AT&T sales, while I went to the bank to make sure I have enough money in my debit card, with the same question and with the same answer. So I opted to get Apple Care also. I had to pay them $900.66 that day. (includes $500 deposit because I do not have a credit score, never had a credit card and i will never have a credit card) Yesterday, June 15, 2010, on my way home, I went to an AT&T Device support center, to have the iPhone unlocked because I have an overseas trip on August or September. The AT&T lady said for me to get the instructions from the website or call customer service. I called customer service today and he said they do not unlock iPhones and offered me roaming services instead. I further read more about AT&T never unlocking iPhones in the Apple forums and the AT&T forums. Now I really think that I have been swindled by all their lies just to get me to sign a contract. This iPhone 3GS is the most expensive thing that I bought in my life because I am not rich and swindled by AT&T at that. Can I get a refund for the iPhone and Apple Care? I do not want a jailbroken iPhone. Is there anything I can do save of going with ABC 7′s On Your Side and PCWorld’s On Your Side?
