I am a rookie. iPhone 3GS OS4. I managed to successfully download a book from the web however it went to my computer rather than to my iPhone. The download installed a program (on the computer) called Adobe Digital Editions to act as a reader. I see no way to transfer it to my iPhone. Help please. My friend has an unlimited iPhone data plan on his ATT family plan and has 8 months of his 2 years left. He already switched to verizon for some reason and his plan is still going and he doesn’t want to cancel it. I’m part of my own family plan (I’m on an iPhone 4. Shh, don’t tell AT&T) with data BLOCKED so I don’t accidentally get charged $250 for usage (again), unlimited messaging and the family minutes. If I wanted to take over his unlimited data, what’s the best way to do that and would I be able to just add the $30 onto my account, keep my messaging and whatnot? I want the iPhone unlimited, not the 2gb+tethering or anything like that. Sorry if this is confusing, I’m willing to clear anything up. I wrote recently about my issue with iTunes freezing, and here my friend is having the exact issue. When she connects her iPhone to the computer the device is recognized by her system. She can see the iPhone in her My Computer (on PC), she can even transfer her pictures to the computer and everything. But iTunes not only doesn’t show her device but immediately freezes and is non-responsive.  The program does become responsive again when she disconnects her device from the computer, but again becomes non-resposive upon reconnection. She’s tried different ports on the computer, different sync cables, hard resetting on the iPhone, restarting the computer system, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes (twice, each time restarting the PC before reinstallation). Nothing helps. I even let her use my laptop as a temporary means by which she could install the update to her iPhone. That worked flawlessly, but on her computer it is still a no go.  Interestingly, I don’t see much posted online on this issue, but yet I’ve encountered this twice in three days. If anyone has any suggestions on this I’d certainly appreciate it.  Thanks in advance.
I am using my Iphone 4 at work to get me email, and it works great except for one issue, and I am hoping someone can help me. For example, I have a contact on my phone named Bob Smith. When I send an email to him from my phone, the name shows up as Smith Bob (in the email), and when I try to find emails sent to him on my laptop, they are under Smith Bob, rather than Bob Smith. Â I have my sort set to last first on my phone……any ideas? Â Thanks in advance for your help.
Still waiting for mine to be off BO.. Was just hoping someone could shed some light on when this might change for me.. Hi, Â I have an unlocked (factory unlocked) iPhone 4 and I am in the USA for 6 months starting early August. My question is, can I bring my iPhone 4 over, purchase an AT&T microsim and have them put me on a postpaid plan with data and the other tidbits or do I need to be on a contract? (No US Passport or SS number). Â Any help would be appreciated so that I can have this sorted for the moment that I arrive in the USA. Â Thanks in advance.
when i would text to see if i am eligible for an iphone 4, it says that “they can offer an early iphone upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee”. so does that i mean i can get the iphone 4 16g for 199 and the 32g for 299 plus an $18 upgrade fee??? i just want to clarify to see what can happen. if thats the case then great! cuz when i try to do it online it gives me the no commitment price… that is way too much. can someone help clarify this please!! thanks in advance! btw it says that my actual upgrade is at 3/19/11. also i have upgraded my contract wit at&t other previous phones as up to 6 months earlyÂ
