So I have an iphone that someone gave to me (they upgraded to the newer one). I was thinking on switching to at&t but I don’t want a data plan because I will be in college where I will have constant access to wifi (therefore I don’t need the data package)

is it possible for me to just open a new line with the unlimited texting and no data plan?

I have had the iPhone November of 2008. I upgraded in May this year to the newer version (not iPhone 4). The 3G network does not work anymore and I can not send pictures thru MMS either. I’ve restored and updated my iPhone. I can not send email or get in to the app store without WiFi connection. Does anybody have any idea what to do?

I have the original iPhone.  On the original iPhone, you could not send or receive texts with pictures.  Can you receive them on the newer iPhones?

Like many of you on this forum, I pre-ordered the iPhone 4 today. I was told this isn’t the iPhone 4G because AT&T hasn’t rolled out the 4G service as of yet. My question is, will the iPhone 4 be compatible to the 4g service when it does roll out, or will we have to upgrade again to the newer iPhone 4G when it’s available?   DrB

I’ve been having problems with dropped calls and even making or receiving calls.  I went to an ATT&T store and was told it was because I had one of the old SIM Cards with the blue backs in my IPhone 3G.  They switched it out and so far so good.   My question is, why would a SIM card make any difference?  He said when they make “improvements” to the towers the newer cards work better with those improvements????   I thought a SIM card was nothign more then an identiciation number???

Any one have HTC Polaris or Orbit II motherboard?

im not a developer myself but i would more than appreciate an icon pack to go along with the htc hero theme for openhome especially since the newer echoecho theme already has its own icon pack.
