[Iphone4] After sim card swap, no 3g service message even though wifi is working good.

I have 1 iphone4 (718-) and 2 galaxy s (646 and 917) wit ATT family plan, every phone has data plan. I use no. 917- as my primary one. Recently I swap sims between iphone4 (718) and one (917) of 2 galaxy s because I need some iphone app for 917-.

 

After swap the sim, I found out iphone4 (917) woks fine with wifi and phone calling though, 3g is not working. I see only No cellular network service message on the phone when I use iphone4 for no. 917-.

 

Therefore, I swap sims back to its original phone, 2 phones, then , iphone4 with no. 718 and galaxy s with no. 917 work fine.  

 

What’s the problem?

 

It’ll be appreciated if you give me any tips for this problem.

iOS 4 Syncing Update on iTunes

So I have an older model iPhone, and I’m attempting to update it through iTunes right now.  The latest update is the iOS 4 update.  My phone has been in “Sync” mode for over an hour now and a little info box that says “Backing Up iPhone” has been “in progress” all this time.  There is only one green bar of progress.  The info box when I clicked on “update” said that the update could take over an hour… but here it is… WAY over an hour, and nothing has changed.    I don’t have all night to sit and wait for this sync and update, but I don’t want to stop it right now after all this time just to have to start all over from the beginning tomorrow.  WILL it ever finish updating and syncing, or is the problem due to the fact that I have an older model phone and this update is for the iOS 4?  Will this update work with my phone, or should I cancel the update and then just be screwed on updates from here on out since I’m sure they’re all gonna be for iOS 4 models?   ~Megan

Ipad cellular data Account problem

Tried to buy more Cellular data for my Ipad and can not log onto my account and get an error (H5000) when I try to reset my password using the “forgot password” process.  Called At&T and they said my problem was a “known issue’ and that the tech people are working around the clock on the problem (that was two days ago).  Anyone else having this problem or have any solutions?  Right now my ipad 3G is done and out.

iphone 3GS voicemail indicator not working

Anyone has similar problems? I called AT&T and they said both AT&T and Apple were aware of the problem for a few weeks. The problem is people leave me voicemails. Neither the indicator (the red dot with the number in it) nor the voicemail list show any voicemails. I have to dial 1 on the keypad to get to my voicemail.   My phone is iPhone 3GS and the OS is 4.0.2 (8A400).   Joe

Horrible indoors iPhone 4 reception

After switching from 3GS that I have never had problems with, onto iPhone 4, I keep running into the same problem. I keep getting “Cannot connect to iTunes”, “check your connectivity”, “app lost internet connection” etc all the time while I am indoors. Quite often my calls go straight to voicemail without the phone ringing. A speedtest app sometimes shows “0 kbps upload speed” or low (in single or double digits) download speeds.  Sometimes I get good speeds, but not too often.   I have got Apple to replace the phone thinking the problem might be with the particular device, but my problems continue. I do keep a phone inside the case.   Where do I go from here?

iphone 3gS won’t turn off and volume controls on side don’t work

I have an iphone 3gS. I’ve had it for about a year. I did drop it yesterday, although I don’t know if the problem is related to that because it did not mess up until a good while after I dropped it. The iphone will not turn off, the size controls for the volume do not work (I can adjust ipod volume on the screen), and the phone will not switch to vibrate on the sides. Any suggestions?

is anyone having trouble  recieveing texts  from other carriers  like cellsouth etc? i have the  iphone 3gs  the problem has been going on for two weeks  and  it appears to be happening with certain phone models

Hi,   I I currently have a Motorola q9h Windows Mobile 6.1 and I’m interested in upgrading to the iPhone4. I have two questions:   1) I have an unlimited data plan with my q9h. If I upgrade to the iPhone4 will I still have unlimted data or am I forced to to choose one of the limited iPhone data plans?   2) I noticed that free cases will be given by Apple to “fix” the antenna problem until September 30th. Is Apple going to come out with revised hardware to really fix the problem then?   thanks, David

iphone case with screen protector

Guys,    this morning i purchased iphone from att (wohoooooo)   also bought the anti-glare scree protactor (20$)and ifrogz blue slide in case (blue/black)(30$).   the problem is after I stick the screen protector and then try to put the case ….. it removes the screen protector…… I guess screen protector is little thick for the case…..   I believe, i can’t return the screen protector but i can return the case…..   any body have good suggestion about the case (or should i get the different screen protector)
