~ iPhone 3G Touch Screen Not Working!
I recently bought a new iPhone 3g at the AT&T store about 3 weeks ago, and yesterday my phone suddenly stopped responding on the touch screen. At first, it was only the bottom half of the phone. (i couldn't unlock the slider part of the phone, but when i double tapped the home button for the ipod menu, i could still press play and skip and back for music.) But soon it just got worse. Now ALL of the touch screen isnt responding to touch. I haven't ever dropped it or anything other than syncing and updating to 3.1. Also, all the buttons like the home and lock button still work, only the touch screen isnt working. I tried looking up how to solve this online, and tried to restore the iphone and run the backup and tried restoring it as a new phone, but the touch screen still doesn't work. Do I need to turn it in for a new one?
