Hello all.  I upgraded from the iPhone 3G to the Samsung Captivate.  I kept the unlimited data plan and the iPhone as a backup phone and to use as an iPod Touch.  Recently I tried putting the SIM card back into the phone because I wanted to use a radio app on 3G that’s not on Android at work (where WiFi is limited).

The iPhone could recognize the SIM and I could use it to make calls, but I cannot access data over Edge or 3G.  I get a message saying I’m not subscribed.  So….am I S.O.L. when it comes it iPhone data?

best case/screen protector for iphone 4?

So i bought the ifrogz case along with a screen protector from ATT today.  The screen protectors were $20 and the case was $30   I love the case, however i tried putting on the screen protector tonight and failed horribly.  I could not get all of the air bubbles out of screen and when i put the case back on the edges bent on the screen protector.  So i threw that one out as it was useless after this.  The 2nd one i decided to trim the edges so that when the case was it wouldnt interfere with the screen protector.  The air bubbles on this thing are relentless, after 30 minutes of trying to apply i threw both of them out and am not angry i wasted $20 bucks on these pieces of junk.   Anyone else have a better screen protector experience?

Hey everybody…got a quick question.  I have a Bold 9000 and I came across a used Iphone 3G 8gb that a friend wanted to sell for $100, so I couldn’t resist!  I tried putting my sim card in the Iphone and the phone works, texts and calls but no data.  I realize now I have to switch plans to use the Iphone Data plan, but can someone tell me if I do that will they consider it a new Iphone contract? Meaning I won’t be due for an upgrade in 2 years?  The tech I chatted with on Att.com couldn’t tell me that.  I just wanted to make sure that it doesn’t, because I am due for an upgrade in 6 months and don’t want to “waste” it right now.  Thanks!
