I specifically set up a Gmail account because any new contacts you add to your iPhone were uploaded to your Gmail for retrieval later on if needed. My Yahoo didn’t have this option, nor will it sync any new contacts even with a standard sync from iTunes. When using Yahoo, you have to manually add the new contacts from your phone to Yahoo in order to have the same list. This seemed tedious, so I wanted to try Gmail only for the purpose of having my contacts updated in real time.  I set up the Gmail on my phone and web, selected the proper sync option in iTunes, did the sync, and nothing uploaded into Gmail from my phone? I still only have 3 contacts in my Gmail account which are ones I have added to my phone over the past week or so. For some reason my contacts on my phone won’t upload to Gmail and I don’t know why.  I used this link for instructions  http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138744  Any suggestions?
