so i’ve never had a “3g” phone until i got my iphone a couple months ago, and my wife got her xenon. when i’m talking on my phone (we’ll just focus on voice usage) if its on 3g, say after a 2 hr conversation… this thing really starts cooking my ear. but say the exact same conversation with 3g turned off, it feels like a normal comfortable amount of phone warmth (like my old phones) and same with hers as well…

 

why is this?why is it hot on 3g, but not on 2g?

 

i tried looking it up, but just found umpteen pages of people talking about “iphone 3g” which isnt what im looking for
