Anyone has similar problems? I called AT&T and they said both AT&T and Apple were aware of the problem for a few weeks. The problem is people leave me voicemails. Neither the indicator (the red dot with the number in it) nor the voicemail list show any voicemails. I have to dial 1 on the keypad to get to my voicemail. Â My phone is iPhone 3GS and the OS is 4.0.2 (8A400). Â Joe
I upgraded my 3gs to os4 the day it was released and ever since it radomly keeps asking for a voicemail password. I do not have a password on my voicemail. Any ideas?
…an automated voicemail came on and said they were upgrading the system and to please call back.  Then I was disconnected.  During this time there was no estimated wait time or number of people ahead of me or anything to let me know how long to wait.  I am trying to cancel my order (still back ordered) as the Apple store had a 32GB this weekend.  I called “Premier” yesterday but they were closed.  I just don’t understand how AT&T can operate “Premier” like this.  What does “Premier” mean anyway?  It seems like I get better service (or response time) with every other AT&T department.   The iPhone is a great phone, but seriously, this is a little insane.
Anybody else having this problem? I’ve spent a total of 3 hours over the last couple of days with ATT trying to get it to work. I can access now by holding down the “1″ key which I couldn’t before, but my visual voicemail can and will not connect to my voicemail box. Below are a list of things that we have tried. If you know of anything else that I could try let me know, because at this point ATT is suggesting to replace the phone.  1. Reset Vmail Password – 4x 2. reset Network settings – 2x 3. rest all settings – 2x 4. restored phone to new - 2x 5. made sure the correct vmail number was programed into the phone (ie.. *5005*86*then the number#) – 3x 6. over the air updates to try and fix the problem. 7 removed all data services and reapplied them to see if there was a provisioning issue.  Through all this it still doesn’t work, keep getting the same message: “Voicemail Unavailable, unable to connect. Try again later”
When I unlock the phone, I sometimes am asked to enter my voicemail password. I don’t have any new messages. What is causing this? It happens sporadically. I never had this issue with my 3GS. Thanks

I am upgrading from the 3G to the 4G and my order says that I will lose my voicemails and greeting when the new mailbox is created. The voicemail isn’t a problem, however, my greeting is unreplaceable (to me anyway). So I thought I would ask previous upgraders - will I really lose the actual greeting?  I looked up how to grab a copy of the file, but my phone shows up as a camera in explorer and I can’t seem to change that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
It goes to voicemail at 4 rings. i can’t run that fast! How can I set it to 6 rings, or more? Thanks.
Hello, Â It has recently been brought to my attention by friends that my phone goes directly to voicemail sometimes. Â I do not understand why it does this as I am pretty sure I’ve got adequate reception and whatnot. The phone does not ring/vibrate, nor does it show that I have any missed calls. They say it just goes straight to voicemail. Other times, it works just fine. Â Does anyone know what causes this or any remedies to this problem? Â Â Thanks.
